N00b needs help!

Okay I don't understand why it's so hard to post an image on here. I'm sure its really simple and Its my own fault but I followed the directions on the FAQ by posting an IMG URL Tag from my lbp.me but they never show up. I also tried the attatchments option and the insert image icon but that didn't work either. Sorry if this was posted in the wrong forum. | 2012-09-05 03:29:00 Author: Unknown User |
what browser are you using? The directions I'm about to give are for using Chrome. If you are using IE, go to Google, type in "Chrome" and download and install it. 1. go to your LBP.me page 2. click on photos 3. choose which photo you want 4. click on it 5. click on it again so that it is now the only thing in the window 6. copy the url in the top address bar 7. come to your thread and paste the url in the post somewhere. Like this: http://if.lbp.me/img/ft/9efe5ed4a9078b25e8962500a05c1c5c780356ec.jpg Notice this is pink. sometimes when you paste this, it paste it as a link. you can highlight it and hit the "UNLINK" button (earth with a chainlink with an X on it) You want it as PLAIN TEXT put image tags around it like this: http://if.lbp.me/img/ft/9efe5ed4a9078b25e8962500a05c1c5c780356ec.jpg which gives you this: http://if.lbp.me/img/ft/9efe5ed4a9078b25e8962500a05c1c5c780356ec.jpg alternately, you can 1. copy your URL 2. come to your post 3. click on the "INSERT IMAGE" icon (little framed picture of a tree located between the UNLINK and INSERT VIDEO icons on the toolbar) 4. a little box pops up with two tabs: From computer and From URL 5. click "From URL" 6. paste your URL in that box 7. UNCHECK the box that says "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" 8. click "OK" and you'll get this: http://if.lbp.me/img/ft/9efe5ed4a9078b25e8962500a05c1c5c780356ec.jpg That's it. Hope that helps and that it works for you. | 2012-09-05 03:44:00 Author: biorogue Posts: 8424 |

Haha, I always wondered what I was doing wrong. I was using IE (I still am). If I had my own computer I would totally have Chrome, but I use my mom's laptop so I don't want to screw it up and freak her out with a new browser. D: | 2012-09-05 21:30:00 Author: OodlesofNoodles Posts: 55 |
Thank you so much! You are welcome so much. Glad I could help. Haha, I always wondered what I was doing wrong. I was using IE (I still am). If I had my own computer I would totally have Chrome, but I use my mom's laptop so I don't want to screw it up and freak her out with a new browser. D: you can still download and install it with no worries. I have 3 browsers on this machine. My wife prefers IE (don't know why) and I run chrome. It doesn't interfere at all, as long as you don't set it to "Default browser." That might make her mad. | 2012-09-06 00:36:00 Author: biorogue Posts: 8424 |
