1UP: B+ (http://www.1up.com/reviews/littlebigplanet-vita-review)

Much like Sound Shapes, community involvement is crucial for the future of LBPV. Double Eleven has done most of the heavy lifting by supplying us with the tools needed to make our platforming dreams a reality, and now it's up to us to stretch our creative muscles. I'm honestly looking forward to checking in on the game often after its release to see which user-created experiences rise to the top of the charts. I would love nothing more than to revisit the title a few months from now and find that the levels included in the game have all been surpassed by imaginative concoctions from all around the globe. As of now, LittleBigPlanet Vita is a great game that has the potential to become a classic with a healthy creative push from the community.

3DJuegos: 9.1/10 (http://www.3djuegos.com/juegos/analisis/10593/0/littlebigplanet/)

This new portable version of LittleBigPlanet is one of the best reasons to get a Vita right now. Lengthy Fun.

BeefJack: Recommended (http://beefjack.com/reviews/littlebigplanet-vita-review/)

It’s not a watered down version; it’s the very definition of series, providing the grand scale of a console experience on a handheld device. Local co-op may be sorely missed, but everything else is in tip-top shape, and it surely won’t be long before the creation community is thriving just as it has in the past. When that happens, it’ll be one of Vita’s shining creations, and a must-own title despite the occasional flaw.

BlastMagazine: 4.5/5 (http://blastmagazine.com/the-magazine/features/little-big-planet-vita-review-portable-planet/)

I’ve literally had the game with me everywhere I went for the last week, and there’s nothing like snapping a picture and incorporating it into the world, or trying to beat my friend’s high score on the level they created. After months of questions, the PS Vita finally has it’s must have title.

CVG: 9.2/10 (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/366994/reviews/littlebigplanet-vita-review-the-best-version-of-lbp-on-any-format-review/)

All the new tricks of the solo mode transfer to the creation tools too, adding more options to the already vast toolset. How is creation on Vita? The smaller screen makes precision work tricky, but touch controls make it quicker. Not bothered about DIY? You can go online and play all seven million user levels created on PS3. If this were just a solo Vita platformer, it'd be worth playing. With the community features and creation options, its a genuine reason to buy a Vita.

ConsoleXP: 9.5/10 (http://www.consolexp.com/littlebigplanet-psvita-review/)

LittleBigPlanet PSVita is, for all intents and purposes, LittleBigPlanet 3. It keeps, and improves upon everything from it’s predecessors. There is a huge number of story levels, tons to collect, a robust level creator, and (soon to come) community levels. The platforming never get’s stale, (just a bit frustrating at times) and the overall design of the game is stunning. If you like platformers, or just having fun in general, drop what you are doing and go buy LittleBigPlanet PSVita. NOW.

Destructoid: 8.5/10 (http://www.destructoid.com/review-littlebigplanet-ps-vita-234613.phtml)

LittleBigPlanet PS Vita is the definitive LittleBigPlanet. The new interface options work splendidly, the extra toys are fun to play with, and the portable format simply works best for such a creative and laid-back venture. It's not as visually attractive as its bigger brothers, and it does little to move the series forward in any meaningful way, but it's by far the most earnest fun I've had with a LittleBigPlanet game to date, and something I feel belongs in the library of any PS Vita owner. I certainly hope it finds its way to many players, as the community will need a lot of support to keep it going. LittleBigPlanet has come home, and the PS Vita has found a game truly worthy of its potential.

EDGE: 9/10 (http://www.edge-online.com/reviews/littlebigplanet-vita-review)

Semi-regular iterations were never going to make a game as singular as LittleBigPlanet feel like part of the cyclical release grind, then, but there’s still something rather surprising about how thoughtful and vivid this latest instalment is. If you’ve been writing the series’ Vita appearance off as a compromise or a contractual obligation, you’re in for something of a treat. That 5 inch OLED screen is a chance to see Media Molecule’s staggering achievement afresh, and to witness one of this generation’s most intriguing engines of creativity at its most energetic and effective.

Eurogamer Italy: 9/10 (http://www.eurogamer.it/articles/2012-09-12-videogiochi-littlebigplanet-ps-vita-review-recensione)

If LittleBigPlanet was creativity made video game, LBP PS Vita adds to the original recipe of the intuitive touch controls and a few other little gem that make the experience even more exciting.

Everyeye.it: 9/10 (http://www.everyeye.it/psvita/articoli/littlebigplanet-vita_recensione_17665)

The beautiful artistic component and a well crafted gameplay structure make this portable episode of Little Big Planet a small masterpiece.

G4: 4.5/5 (http://www.g4tv.com/games/psv/65411/littlebigplanet/review/)

It's just as solid as its console partners, it looks beautiful, and takes advantage of the Vita's controls in unique ways that don't negatively impact the core of the platforming gameplay. It serves as a wonderful reminder that you can never have enough Sackboy in your life.

GameGuys: A- (http://www.news10.net/entertainment/gameguys/article/209049/240/Game-Guys-review---LittleBigPlanet-PlayStation-Vita)

If Vita owners are looking for a near-perfect title to utilize all of the platform's capabilities; or non-Vita owners looking for a must-have title to justify a purchase of the handheld, LittleBigPlanet may be it. It's as close to perfect as a Vita game can be, save for a story mode that (for as good as it is) leaves the player feeling a little unsatisfied. Even with that as criticism, there's little bad that can be said about this game.

Gameinformer: 8.75/10 (http://www.gameinformer.com/games/littlebigplanet_vita/b/playstation_vita/archive/2012/09/12/sackboy-conquers-another-sony-system.aspx)

While LittleBigPlanet has clearly settled into a comfortable groove, it’s still one of the best pure platformers on the market. LittleBigPlanet PS Vita is another stellar entry on Sackboy’s impressive resume.

GamerReactor Denmark: 8/10 (http://www.gamereactor.dk/anmeldelser/129281/Little+Big+Planet+Vita/)

Does everything you'd expect, and does it with some of the best level design the series has seen so far. Still, there aren't any of the major innovations that could have made this game something really special. Instead, it's "just" rock solid entertainment for your handheld.

GamerReactor Sweden: 8/10 (http://www.gamereactor.se/recensioner/68791/Little+Big+Planet+Vita/)

Even though the controls still are a bit on the stale side, the PS Vita turns out to be the perfect match for Little Big Planet and has everything the Playstation 3, Dual Shock 3, Playstation Eye and Playstation Move offer in a tiny little package that even has some really nice extras. This is the best game in the series and the best game for PS Vita.

GamerRevolution: 4.5/5 (http://www.gamerevolution.com/review/littlebigplanet-for-playstation-vita)

The end result is a successful blend of traditional controls and new-wave touch gaming, a title that seamlessly mixes rival input schemes. LittleBigPlanet Vita makes good on the promise Sony made with the Vita when it was revealed.

IGN UK: 9/10 (http://uk.ign.com/articles/2012/09/12/littlebigplanet-ps-vita-review)

LittleBigPlanet PS Vita is the definitive LittleBigPlanet game. It's everything you loved (or possibly didn't) from the past games boiled down into a package you can play anywhere at any time. You can collect prize bubbles while watching TV, download user-created levels at home and then play them on a plane, and sink the hours into learning create mode via 10-minute chunks at the Laundromat. Then, there's all the new stuff like touch controls, games that don't involve Sackboy, and the creation potential that could give you an endless supply of free games.

Joypad: 94/100 (http://translate.google.dk/translate?sl=da&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=da&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fjoypad.dk%2Findex.php%2Fanmeldelser %2F1-spil%2F215-anmeldelse-littlebigplanet-vita)

Little Big Planet Vita is a fantastic acquaintance, a game that really uses your Vita in every possible way. Camera, touch screen, gyroscope, everything is being used in this game. It is a game that really shows what a Vita can when the developer uses the machine many functions. I highly recommend anyone who owns a Playstation Vita to buy this game.

Joystick: 4/5 (http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/12/littlebigplanet-vita-review/)

The culmination of these disparate parts is a game that stands on the shoulders of those that came before it. LittleBigPlanet Vita's level design boasts creativity unseen since the series' inception, while benefitting from years of lessons learned from sequels and the community. As a result, LittleBigPlanet Vita positively bursts with charm and cleverness. It's more refinement than revolution, but that also makes it the purest distillation of the concept's potential. Don't let franchise fatigue keep you from this latest incarnation; it's the best yet.

Meristation: 9/10 (http://www.meristation.com/es/playstation-vita/littlebigplanet/analisis-juego/1534833)

A flawless take on LittleBigPlanet on a system that looks especially well-suited for it. This version is faithful to the core of the LittleBigPlanet experience and manages to improve on other versions thanks to the great control system designed around Vita and novelties like the Memorizer that will add a new dimension to the creative work around this game.

Multiplayer.it: 9.2/10 (http://multiplayer.it/recensioni/108361-littlebigplanet-un-mondo-di-creativita.html)

LittleBigPlanet is a perfect fit for PlayStation Vita. The new gadgets and the new materials expand all the possibilities already seen in LBP2, in what is probably the best game in the series.

OPM: 9/10 (http://www.officialplaystationmagazine.co.uk/review/littlebigplanet-ps-vita-review-playstations-cuddliest-scales-down-wonderfully/)

Could this be the killer app that Vita’s been crying out for? It’s a slice of gleefully inventive oddness that’s certainly sated our appetite for sackboy on handheld – and it’s very nearly perfect.

Playdationlifestyle: 9.5/10 (http://www.playstationlifestyle.net/2012/09/12/littlebigplanet-review-vita/)

LBP has always been the light-hearted, family friendly center of PlayStation, but the Vita version proves what you’ve already learned from eating spaghetti with your hands or finger painting on the walls: touch is fun.

PlaystationUniverse: 9.5/10 (http://www.psu.com/a016899/LittleBigPlanet-PS-Vita-Review)

LittleBigPlanet PS Vita is magnificent fun, a remarkable display of innovation that is only possible on PlayStation Vita, and the very best reason to own one.

PressFire: 6/6 (http://www.pressfire.no/anmeldelser/Vita/5772/Little-Big-Planet-Vita)

Everything is the right to 'Little Big Planet' reach can skape their own lives on Vita. At the bar tray is the one audiovisual year beste plattformspill - Think of the bra it can become when the creative galskapen utfolder segment.

PS3Site: 9/10 (http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=pl&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ps3site.pl%2Frecenzja-littlebigplanet-vita-psv%2F126674)

LittleBigPlanet Vita was destined for success, since the brand is doomed him. Wherever Sackboy does not appear right away wins hearts and consoles. It was so on the PS3, the PSP, and now it is the same on the PlayStation Vita. If you say that there is no Sony console games, this time with Little Big Planet-received not one, but hundreds of games that will be created by the community. Together with LBP Vita received a reason to buy the console, because the adventures of Sackboy worth it, even if you have already played in the previous section. Pokochaliście once - you'll love again, trust the word.

PSXExtreme: 9.2/10 (http://www.psxextreme.com/vita-reviews/20.html)

If you’re willing to do that, the result will be a game that offers ridiculous bang for your buck, along with a style that is all Sackboy’s own. It’s an all-around beautiful title for your Vita, it can keep you occupied for months if you get involved with the creating tools, the level design is some of the best you’ll ever see, and the touchscreen element is various and innovative. It can be a little tough to get used to and there are a few small hiccups here and there, but for the most part, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita is among the elite portable experiences available. Get it. September 25 is the day.

Shopto: 6/6 (http://www.shopto.net/news/40637/littlebigplanet-vita-review)

What Tarsier and Double Eleven have achieved with LittleBigPlanet is quite remarkable. Both studios have worked together to cram one of the PlayStation 3's best titles onto the PlayStation Vita, while still adding their own unique style along the way. If LittleBigPlanet Vita is a sign of the quality of games to come in the future, then Sony's handheld has a very bright future indeed. Quite simply, if you own a Vita, then you must own this game, it's a must buy and without a doubt one of the best handheld games, if not the best, that I have ever played.

SpazioGames: 8.5/10 (http://www.spaziogames.it/recensioni_videogiochi/console_multi_piattaforma/13528/littlebigplanet.aspx)

A great first episode for the LittleBigPlanet franchise on PSVita: creating and sharing has never been this easy and fun, even if the platform sections aren't as polished as expected.

Spong: 9/10 (http://spong.com/feature/10110787/Review-LittleBigPlanet-PS-Vita)

In short, if you have a Vita get this game, if you haven't got a Vita, don't take too long considering if you should get one, there's a very compelling argument for the purchase that goes by the name of Little Big Planet. And, yes! Stephen Fry does the narration again.

TheAverageGamer: Great (http://www.theaveragegamer.com/2012/09/12/littlebigplanet-vita-review/)

LittleBigPlanet is my favourite PlayStation Vita game, and the game is just the start. Once it’s in the hands of LBP veterans, the community space will be awash with fiendish levels, all of which can be saved straight to your queue and played on your travels. This is a must-buy for all Vita owners, and could well be a reason for people to pick up the Vita period.

TheGuardian: 4/5 (http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/gamesblog/2012/sep/13/littlebigplanet-ps-vita-review)

If you played the original game on the PS3, you'll find plenty on the PS Vita that is new – plus you'll be able to make the two versions interact via Cross-Play. Be warned, though – you may experience a tinge of regret that you didn't encounter the franchise for the first time on the PS Vita.

TheSixthAxis: 8/10 (http://www.thesixthaxis.com/2012/09/12/review-littlebigplanet-ps-vita/)

Without the community aspect and the clever side games, this wouldn’t score nearly as highly. But as a whole, and with the potential for some absolutely brilliant things in the future? It’s a great package – expect big things.

TheGamersHub: 4.5/5 (http://thegamershub.net/2012/09/littlebigplanet-vita-review/)

LittleBigPlanet Vita has succeeded in what it set out to do: be everything the console version was and more. It makes full use of the Vita’s functions, while staying true what fans have come to know and love about the series. The story may be quite short – ranging from five to seven hours in length – however, for a portable title and with all of the extras included this may not be a burden after all. It appears that even when LittleBigPlanet isn’t developed by Media Molecule it’s a must own title for fans of the franchise and anyone who has a Vita.

TheSun: 5/5 (http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/fun/gaming/4536893/LittleBigPlanet-comes-to-the-small-screen-and-becomes-the-biggest-game-around.html)

Certainly the greatest game on Vita yet, possibly the best release on any console this year.

TheVerge: 9/10 (http://www.theverge.com/gaming/2012/9/12/3319640/littlebigplanet-vita-review)

LittleBigPlanet Vita is the best thing on the Vita to date, a perfect fit formed between the hardware and the franchise. But it doesn't just succeed on a conceptual level; it's polished, addictive, and precious. In every imaginable way, LittleBigPlanet Vita is a knockout.

Venturebeat: 93/100 (http://venturebeat.com/2012/09/12/touch-controls-make-littlebigplanet-vita-the-delightful-seriess-definitive-entry/)

LittleBigPlanet Vita is my favorite iteration on an already fantastic universe which was built in no small part by the community that loves it.

VideoGamer: 8/10 (http://www.videogamer.com/psvita/littlebigplanet/review.html)

At four games in the LittleBigPlanet series feels less fresh than it once did, and new touch mechanics don't add as much to the experience as you might think. There's never enough of a challenge to match how complex the levels look, resulting in a joyous jaunt through some wondrous lands that never reaches the gameplay heights that always seem to lie tantalisingly around the corner.

VideoGameWriters: 5/5 (http://videogamewriters.com/review-littlebigplanet-ps-vita-54480)

LittleBigPlanet PS Vita is an incredibly strong title, and one that the PS Vita has needed for a while now. It further expands the LittleBigPlanet franchise, but more, it shows us what a PS Vita game should be. It doesn’t waste a single ounce of the Vita’s hardware, and ensures that the touch screens and tilt controls are a blast to use. Great music makes platforming a blast, even when the story does little to inspire. Between the story mode, mini-games, and creative mode, this game is packed with content straight out of the box. Online content is sure to explode in the months after release, and yet-undiscovered creators may even teach developers a few things about fun PS Vita platforming. Beyond a doubt, this is one of the Vita’s strongest titles to date, and it is a must-buy for players with a big imagination.

VitaSite: 9.5/10 (http://translate.google.pl/translate?sl=pl&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=pl&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.vitasite.pl%2Flittlebigplanet-ps-vita-recenzja%2F)

PlayStation Vita console is relatively young - it is difficult to compare LittleBigPlanet with other games of this type, because there are simply not enough. Despite this new Sackboy adventure game in terms of quality and joy drawn from the game, followed by a very highly. In no way deviate from the two parts of the PlayStation 3 I dare even say that so far is the best title for the PlayStation Vita, which no doubt all will provide a lot of fun.

ZTGameDomain: 9/10 (http://www.ztgd.com/reviews/littlebigplanet-ps-vita-2/)

LittleBigPlanet Vita is a must own title for the platform. The series feels right at home on a handheld, and the new implementations made for this version are outstanding. If you are a fan of the series, even if you have gotten burned out recently like myself, this is still an adventure worth taking. With the Vita’s anemic software library, this game stands head and shoulders above the rest as one of the must-have titles. I cannot recommend it enough.

No, reviews. Sometimes you see reviews days before the release. This is why you see reviews on the casing of a lot of AAA titles. 'IGN: 10/10 'Miraculous game', 'Eurogamer: 7/10 'because that's the number we always pick for a Sony game', 'Kotaku: 3/10 'We love Metacritic'. Those reviews have to be in before the cover goes to print.

So I will just say that you can look for them pretty soon.

Famitsu scored LBPVita 9/9/9/9
http://gamingeverything.com/28870/famitsu-review-scores-91112-littlebigplanet-vita-final-fantasy-iii-psp/
For the ones who doesn't know Famitsu has 4 journalists review the biggest titles and each one gives his score.
Less than 10 titles got 4 10s and it's hard for a Western game to receive a 10, so LBPVita score is to be considered VERY high

Considering that the embargo for online reviews is over I hope it is fully ok to share some of my opinions regarding LBPV. I will keep it brief:

Online distribution:
If you are going to download it, be prepared for 1,6GB or 1,8GB package (to be honest, I now can not remember which of these two number were shown in the download manager :-D Sorry for that :-D)

Play (Campain):
- 25 platforming story levels (25 badges. Few of them are made of two levels joined by the level link. So technically it is little more than 25)
- 15 side levels with different minigames.
- 5 Arcade games. These are like the Taplink in the beta. Each arcade game is basically game on its own. Each with its own ingame menu, score system (collecting up to three stars in each level) and range of 8-20 levels.

- The length is comparable with the LBP campain. The Story+Minigames in LBPV felt little shorter to finish than Story+Minigames in LBP2. But thanks to arcade games, the LBPV is maybe even little longer. It takes like 7-9 hours to fully finish. (I mean unlock. 100% copletion will take longer)

- The Vita HW features are implemented well. The touch is never overwhelming (you dont need to control Sakboy on the sticks and use touch at the same time). The game is never asking you to shout into microphone or search for green areas by your camera. (the features that make some games unplayable in public etc)
- The difficulty of the campain is really easy. Even most the boss fights can be done on first attempt.

Create (Editor):
I will not write all the changes and new features. Most of them are already known and can be found in this topic:
https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=67819-LittleBigPlanet-Vita-The-New-Tools-Features-Tweaks-and-Even-More-Goodies-List!

But here are some of my notes anyway:
- Touch control is nice. But I did not find it too much usefull :-/ You usually want to be precise. And even when you are "free drawing" some object, you want to reduce the corners. And stick controls are much more precise for this. On the other hand the rear touch camera controls are very helpfull. I just needed to disable the "double-tap to zoom" setting. You double tap the sides of the pad too often by mistake. Causing camera to change when it is not convinient.
- I was not creating some huge levels. But I got the feeling that thermometer is more restricted. (Vita is not as powerfull as PS3). When creating the static objects it was fine and growing slowly. But when I emited 15 sackboys, it went out of the roof. On the other hand, you have more tools for optimalisation to save a little bit of thermo.
- There are all gameplay elements (sensors, logic,...) from the LBP2. Some of them with more settings and fucntions. On the other hand the lists of things with same purpose (materials, decorations, stickers, customes) felt reduced. I did not count them. But I estimate there is like half of them. (comparing to LBP2 wihtout DLC packs)

The new features I like:
- Note objects. Can be tweaked to show text (different sizes, fonts, colors) in play mode. Input can be used to show/hide. Or even to show the value of the signal - absolutelly great when you want to show chaning number variables. You can even include the value between prefix and suffix. So it is possible to have a note showing "Power: 90%" where 90 is the value of analogue input and can be changed by the logic system.
- The thin objects have setting of the "sub-layers". Meaning even when you have two stickers at the same layer, one of them will be in front of another. Avoiding them to be blinking and overlaping. I hope you understand what I mean. Even when you have two holograms at the same layer. You can set up the priority which will be hidden, if they overlap at the same place.
- AND + OR gates have new settings. Now can be nativelly used to add and multiply the input values.
- Objects can be directly created as a "Static". So you dont have to use gravity tweakers each time you want to keep some decoration in the air. You can also dephysicate the object. So there wont be any colisions detected (you can move objects through it) - handy for enhancing the performance. If you set it up on objects that can not be interacted anyway, you will spare Vita some power.

Share (community functions):
- Comunity functions works exactly the same way as the LBP2. You just have the additional option to download levels and play them offline.
- And I can confirm that Beta levels were not migrated (at least not yet). So we are starting from the scratch. (there are already some level online. But most of them not worth playing. Usually just a results of reviewers testing the editor without goal to create fun level)

Did I disliked anything?
Basically no :-D <3
I just noticed small detail resulting from the smaller screen. This is tricky for the reward bubbles in case they contains some blue reward. It is difficult to recognize if there is blue reward inside. Or if you already colected it before and the bubble has just its default blue color. But this is just very small complain :-D
I also noticed, that touch components are not working on invisible materials (in case you want to detect touch in empty areas). Touch senzor on hologram with 0% brightness will not react to touch. Touch senzor on hologram with 1% brightness will react to touch.
Otherwise whole game works flawlessly and I have complains.

BTW: I found here a topic that the game might be actualy already out in some story. I dont believe this is genuine. Based on the "lenght" of the scoreboards even on the early ampain levels, the game does not seem to be out in public yet.

So, it looks like it's rubbish. Lot's of hype and it turns out it's a massive disappointment!
Just joking.... obviously. Looks awesome! Shame there's not many more great titles on the Vita to tempt me to buy one.

Wow, I was hoping this game would at least get a few good 8 out of 10s, but all these high scores and people calling it the best in the series has me pumped. I was debating with myself whether or not to pick up a Vita just for this game, but I may have just been convinced.

The only downside right now is that here in the States, we still have to wait almost two weeks for the game despite reviews being out now. Still, nice to know now that my excitement is probably not in vain.

Some of these reviewers are still making mistakes though:

Not bothered about DIY? You can go online and play all seven million user levels created on PS3.

You have to ask yourself, did he really play the full version?

I knew it. I see all other reviews for Vita games, and most of the time they get like 7s or 8s. This is the first one I have seen that has gotten a 9. If anyone who helped develop, or in Tarsier or Double Eleven, thanks for making the Vita awesome. 2012-09-12 22:40:00

He also mentioned App store again

To be completely fair to the normally biased ****s, he said that LBP Vita could become Sony's almost free app store. A fair comparison.

GameInformer finally released it's review of LBPV!:

I’m a big fan of Media Molecule’s LittleBigPlanet franchise. This latest entry, the first one for Sony’s fledgling Vita handheld, is a collaboration between three separate studios. While that sounds potentially troublesome, the game is so in tune with Media Molecule’s inventive design style and offbeat sense of humor that you’d never know it wasn’t made by the creators.

LittleBigPlanet Vita preserves some of the subtle design changes Media Molecule implemented with sequels and spin-offs. The first game’s floaty movement physics often led to a cheap death for Sackboy. Over time, these “realistic” physics have been dialed back in favor of more exact, Mario-style movement. It’s a good decision.

This new adventure packs in more variety in the form of one-off gameplay sequences, new tools, and vehicles. From grappling sequences to a challenge level where you turn the Vita on end for a slot racing contest, there’s always a clever design around the corner ready to surprise you. The only major complaint I have is the boss battles are too routine and sometimes frustrating due to the series’ odd insistence of having limited lives during the fights. For the rest of the game, you have unlimited checkpoint continues.

On any platform, LittleBigPlanet is a hell of a platformer. However, game was made specifically with the Vita in mind. The game makes the best use of the touchscreen I’ve seen yet; it doesn’t force you into wonky control schemes. Instead, you can use it to quickly hit switches or “poke” out platforms for Sackboy to jump on using the rear touch panel. The developers consistently find novel uses for the touchscreen that feel organic. That's not even counting the myriad extra minigames that put the touchscreen to good use. This was the most I’ve actively used the touchscreen in quick-action sequences, which had the unfortunate side effect of pointing out that the Vita’s touchscreen is not nearly as accurate or sensitive as those of most smartphones. The lack of responsiveness led to a few unnecessary deaths.

The game also features the groundbreaking creation tools that fans have used to release over 7 million user-created levels since the first game released. Vita owners can’t access any previously created levels, but due to some nice features that allow you to use iPhone-style “pinch” controls to resize, manipulate, and place items with the touchscreen, LBP Vita has the best creation mode in the series to date so eventually levels shouldn’t be hard to come by.

While LittleBigPlanet has clearly settled into a comfortable groove, it’s still one of the best pure platformers on the market. LittleBigPlanet PS Vita is another stellar entry on Sackboy’s impressive resume.

Yeah, I really hate when there are some 2X sections in the game... I mean, I have little friends who play LBP, but none of them will actually buy a Vita!

I only have 1 friend who plays LBP, but hasn't played in like 7 months (no joke). I'll probably buy the bundle for one of my friends that wants this game, but doesn't own a PS3, PSP, or PSVita.

Little big planet ps vita launche next week!

LittleBigPlanet PS Vita is almost here! By the end of next week most of you can go and pick up a copy from your favourite retailer or download the game directly from the PS Store! We really think you are going to love it!

As you may have noticed reviews recently started popping up all over the Internet and they have been very positive! Have a look at all the wonderful things they had to say:

EDGE – 9/10

The environments keep pace with the mechanics, shifting from clutters of dusty books to stacks of videotape, glossy telephone handsets, and mansions built from time-weathered driftwood, and there’s a hint of Super Mario Galaxy’s scattershot creativity in the way new ideas, and new scenarios, are cast aside after a single dazzling outing.

CVG – 9.2/10

Simply, the best LBP on any format. Combines smart design with Vita’s controls, and adds incredible online functionality to make it the first essential Vita game.

Playstation Universe – 9.5/10

Pure, unadulterated fun positively oozes from arguably the best level design in series history, and the experience is amplified by the most engaging touch mechanics ever seen in a video game. Themes of wonder and discovery are no longer theoretical constructs to provide background for this world. For the first time, wonder and discovery are things you feel as you jump, swing, and puzzle-solve through clever use after clever use of the Vita’s unique control features.

Polygon – 9/10

LittleBigPlanet Vita is the best thing on the Vita to date, a perfect fit formed between the hardware and the franchise. But it doesn’t just succeed on a conceptual level; it’s polished, addictive, and precious. In every imaginable way, LittleBigPlanet Vita is a knockout.

The Guardian – 4/5

Happily, the conventional game side of LittleBigPlanet for the PS Vita massively outshines its equivalents in the two PS3 games. Taken merely as a standalone platform game, you’d have to say that it’s up there with the very best; it’s so wildly inventive and shot through with humour that you could imagine that Miyamoto himself might have created it.

As you can imagine everyone here at Tarsier and over at Double Eleven was completely blown away by the response we got from the reviewers! We really, really can’t wait to hear what all of you think of the game and see what amazing things you are going to create!

Mainland Europe – Wednesday 19th September
ANZ, Spain and Japan – Thursday 20th September
UK, Ireland and Germany – Friday 21st September
Americas – Tuesday 25th September

I've noticed in a lot of the reviews that they say the touch is sometimes unresponsive, but then when I watch some of the Youtube videos I realise that some people just don't seem to get it. Some people seem to want to flick at the touchable material instead of grabbing it and pulling it down. There are different settings for swipe and touch so I'm guessing a lot of these complaints are actually just people who don't play it properly2012-09-17 11:39:00

Maybe they are eating french fries while playing. The only time I have problems with the touch is near edges when you are supposed to hold down the release. I think my finger touch is leaving the edge without me feeling it because of the protective screen. The protective screen is larger than the screen so if I feel an edge I may not be on the screen still.

That should explain why so much reviewers are claiming that while when i was in the beta the touch worked perfectly and by all the videos it's seems like touch works just fine,It's just that people are used to flick when they see stuff like that on a touch screen instead of touching and dragging till they reach the bottom...

Hey, Gribble Grunger, not sure if you have this one in your collection, but here's the text of a review that appeared in the Sunday Times, 16th September:

LITTLEBIGPLANET PSVITA
PLAYSTATION VITA; ?37.97. AGE 7

This British-made game has been a charmer ever since its launch for the PlayStation 3 in 2008, but who would have thought it would find its ideal platform on a handheld console? Like all previous editions, the Vita version is a game of two parts: first, you run, jump and swing your sock-puppet character past every obstacle in your way; second, you use the objects and stickers you've collected to create new levels and share them online. Both parts are enhanced by the Vita's unique features. Touch controls, for example, make it easier to prod blocks out of the way during play or to move objects around in the creation stages. Meanwhile, the Vita's built-in camera takes shots that can decorate your world. The result is some of the most brilliant levels ever seen in any LittleBigPlanet edition. In short, the Vita has its first essential game.

?Stuart Andrews

Don't have a link, I'm afraid: The Sunday Times is behind a paywall.

POLICEMAN: OH, YES? AND HOW EXACTLY DID YOU COME TO HAVE THE REVIEW IN YOUR POSSESSION, THEN, SIR, IF YOU DON'T MIND MY ASKING?

Er...it fell off a lorry, officer! Quick, Gribble! They're on to me! Grab a pull-quote and let's scarper!
