Enchanting Illusion

Hello LBPC, its time to me present my new level Echanting Illusion.

This time my direction was again, more serious type of level. Its more again based on visuals than the actual gameplay.

new OmieR level... Queued!

just played it and it gets a big thumbs up from me. It was beautifully atmospheric, yet twisted and uncomfortable at the same time, some of the change in camera angles were awkward, I think that was the point as it left me feeling on edge, and even though the pace was slow i felt like i could never relax, trust me OmieR all those things i say as a compliment. The art style and detail were top notch. its a great world you have created, you should be proud of this.

I always reckon the real test of a level is that does it leave the player with 'Level-Envy' ? and yours did, so props for that.

On a side note, I think you could create a great Alien themed level if you so chose, don't know what it was but there were parts of your level that had a splash of giger about it, maybe it was the slow lift section at the end...? anyways, I'll just throw that one out there....

Where to start... Are you an art student by any chance? It's actually difficult to put into words what I thought about this level without doing it a disservice. I could throw in the perfunctory 'should be MM picked' but that would be an insult. What you've done here is something quite remarkable. You've managed to twist a cute aesthetic into something beautifully disturbing. I was told once (and agree) that detail should be taken for granted and only ever noticed when it's missing. The concept on the face of it looks very simple... just blocks and more blocks, and yet there were little details constantly stopping me playing. You just wouldn't let my eyes rest for a second. I literally lit a cigarette and smoked the whole thing while staring at one small section of your level, that's how good it is. It was like walking through an art gallery and pausing for thought occasionally to look at a Salvador Dali painting, unaware of why but somehow compelled to.

You SIR are a genius!

'Enchanted Illusion' just doesn't do it justice though. I would really consider renaming it. I would just call it 'Illusion' myself

This is an amazing level i must say the dark and twisted dimension makes a great halloween level.

I really liked how the music really sets the tone of the level it was perfect.

There was apart tho i had a some what of a tuff time when you end up jumping and get turned up side down lol i had know clue i had to jump lol,I was runing all over the place till i lifted of the ground lol.

And some how i ended up on that moveing thing im guessing i should have got in side of it lol.

You did a fantastic job on this level i really enjoyed it from start to finish.!

Thank you GribbleGrunger and Lbphart3 for really kind and long review, no Im not an art student or anykind of studend, just a guy who trying to make stuff. For that upside down camera angle thing I tryed figure to make something there, cause very many people doesnt know what to do there. Even if there after it turned upside down, the alarm bell will ring but it doesnt help much. So what I did there is, that after pressing the button the arrow will start flashing, so the players have even a little clue what to do and where suppose to go.

And there isnt really no other way than just jumping and attrack o gel will do the rest.

The idea when I made that upside down camera angle thing was simply to make a feeling that the "world" where you are is even more disturbed, and also its kind of little challenge part, cause otherwise the whole level is pretty much walking and watching. Personally this level, is my favorite work what I have made, reason I dont know why but maybe cause its just so simple, only blocks and Im kind of surprised how a few people find The Cube/blocks atmosphere intresting.

Its just impossilbe to make a "perfect" level and to please everyone, but even if one ore two people are happy and enjoyed the level, it make me feel as I succeeded with my work, so thank you

I played this one the other day. Gameplay wise it was really quite fun but basically simple, run around, jump and press buttons, nothing really ground breaking but still fun never the less.

Visually it was mixed bag. I would like to say it looked gorgeous but the problem is it was so dark I couldn't really tell...lol. Still what I could see of it looked very nice
