Dlc

How about instant access to paid for dlc? It is rather annoying to PAY for dlc then find out I have to find three other people online playing the dlc level at the same time to collect content I paid for. That doesn't even cover the ridiculous amount of lag from such an attempt. I PAID for it and now I cant use it because they stuck stuff in a four player zone, really? If I bought a Ferrari, I wouldn't have to find three other people that had Ferraris' to be able to drive mine. I PAID for it... its mine. I don't have a problem with having to "earn" the material or object from a dlc level set, just make it where ONE player can get all objects, stickers, etc. I bought LBP2 Special Edition. I paid extra money and had to pre-order to get it. I had to get the move items from another person because I don't have a move controller. I didn't have access to like (not exact numbers) ten materials, twenty decorations, and thirty or so stickers. I paid for the special edition to have access to stuff and had no access because I didn't have a special controller, really? Am I the only person that is annoyed by this?2012-08-31 13:19:00

I agree that the multiplayer segments are a lousy idea for DLC packs. It's frustrating needing to find competant players to unlock things.

As for your comments regarding the Move DLC, though, I just thought those were funny. You must've known full well when you got it, you'd need a Move controller to play through it.
To use your Ferrari analogy, that's like buying a car, when you don't have a licence to drive - of course you won't be able to use it.

I bought the special edition for the book ends and the plush toy sack puppet. I didn't even realize there was move content included at the time of purchase. My point was, if I pay for it, I want access to it. Obviously I realized that I wouldn't be able to use the move controller functions (movinatior and other various move specific functions), but why was I restricted from access to materials, decorations, and stickers? You don't need a move controller to place those items. I completed the move tutorials without a move controller.2012-08-31 14:34:00

Yea, I agree on you about getting the Move Pack items. I bought it for the Sticker Panel, that was all I wanted, but I kind of want the materials and stuff now, but I don't have a Move.

I also agree with this. I only have two controllers and one move controller at this point in time, so I can't get the x3 or x4 prizes unless I'm lucky enough to find a smooth room (the servers in this game, need to be bettered, maybe). And yea, ten bucks for the more advanced level packs = deserve to get the whole package.

Also minifat, get one when you have enough spare money. It's fun for the games that actually have it as optional. Although, sharpshooters seem to have a tad more use (I don't have one yet though). Plus it really opens the door for creation, well maybe not drastically, but that move recorder is wonderful. Also, the lights, the LIGHTS!

I'm with Ostler on this. I agree with the multiplayer complaint but you can't complain about DLC that is specifically designed for the MOVE controller. If you haven't got the MOVE controller, why would you buy it anyway?2012-09-06 10:38:00

I will say once again, I bought the S.E. for the bookends and plush toy sack puppet. I paid for the Move content, albeit unknowingly, and then I find out that I don't have access to something I paid for without spending additional money. I have already stated that I was able to complete the Move tutorials WITHOUT a move controller. I have access to the movinator in my logic section via the Move tutorials that DO NOT require the Move controller to complete, even though I have no controller to utilize it. If I was given access to the Move logic without having the controller, why then, was I denied access to materials, stickers, decorations, and sounds? There is no move controller required to use or place those items, but I was given access to Move logic which DOES require a Move controller to function. I fail to see the logic in availability of the content.2012-09-06 16:40:00

Completely agree, Move pack is full of good stuff that has nothing to do with the idiot controller. I've managed to unlock all previous LBP/LBP2 2x-4x content myself using a pair of controllers, a steering wheel, and my feet...I'm not about to try to find someone with Move to unlock stuff for me. $9 was pretty pricey to get sticker panel. Sticker panel is pretty great and all, but it sure would be nice to have convenient access to the other stuff too!

The Move pack is the last DLC I'll buy for LBP2...it just irritates me that much. Also the constant reminder every time I start LBP2 doesn't help either, I start every LBP2 session irritated now. I'll admit I have violent thoughts about the Sony person that dictated Move enabled games must display the Move for dummies instructions EVERY time they start controller or no.

That's always going to be there so change your mindset. Some people complain they can't sleep because they can hear the traffic outside, other know it's a part of living where they live and sleep.

I'll change my gaming platform before I change my mindset...don't see XBOX doing anything this idiotic with Kinect...makes Sony look incredibly lame as well as stupid. Heck it shows people hitting each other and lamps...it's laughable. I just won't buy any game with token Move support, and I won't get the lastest update for HotShots since they patched it in. If more people weren't mindless sheep things would change.2012-09-09 14:42:00

Gotta say that this also ticks me off. I mean, I couldn't care less about the Move support itself since I don't have a Move controller, but not being able to access the unlockables just because of that is very frustrating. And I even can't borrow one since NOBODY I KNOW ACTUALLY BOUGHT IT.2012-10-19 23:10:00

the way I see it is its there if you want it, but its not neccicary, after all the lbp community is better off for having move support even if lots of people dont have one

also theyre doing the exact same thing for vita cross play so buckle up
