Rescue (http://lbp.me/v/c3ckvg) The last in the platformer series based on the classic Universal Monster. You have been asked by Vincent the cat to save his buddy, the Monster, from the evil Dr. Frankensack. Travel up the old bell tower, but be wary! Those steps are old and weak. Cross the bridge to the lab and free the Monster before the doctor conducts anymore experiments on him! http://lbp.me/v/c3ckvg | 2012-08-31 12:45:00 Author: shortcaque Posts: 36 |
Hmm, interesting. got it queued. Just a few tips for you. Doing attachments here stinks. It's best to pull the image URL's from LBP.me and either click on the "insert image" icon in the tool bar. It looks like a framed picture of a tree. If you use that though, when you click on it a box will pop up and will have two tabs on it, "from computer" and "from URL". Click on the "from URL" tab and paste your URL in that little box. be sure to UNCHECK the box that says, "retrieve remote file and reference locally" alternatively, you can just grab your image URL and depending on what browser you are using, this is done by either 1. going to your LBP.me 2. click on Photos 3. find the picture you want and click it 4. click it again so that it's the only thing in the window 5. now copy the url in the top now you have your URL which looks like this http://i5.lbp.me/img/ft/b855e94397af7b570783ea21c06eeee5254156ca.jpg wrap image tags around it url so: http://i5.lbp.me/img/ft/b855e94397af7b570783ea21c06eeee5254156ca.jpg will give you this: http://i5.lbp.me/img/ft/b855e94397af7b570783ea21c06eeee5254156ca.jpg and this http://ic.lbp.me/img/ft/d9c1a03abc8fb7026d21d82e87b4a3a11f8d04a5.jpg | 2012-08-31 20:59:00 Author: biorogue Posts: 8424 |
Nice I'll queue it right now! And from Mr. poo's LBHub app! EDIT: Ok, here's my review: The beginning was OK, it seemed to me the decos were really fitting, but the 3D floor looked a bit too simple and awkward. Then you have a cutscene, go through some stairs and oh my! No!!! There's an easily solved mistake that you should fix as soon as possible. When in the switch room, you can look at your left and you can see the level background! Here, a pic: http://i1.lbp.me/img/ft/d310c59952dd2bc78a3c29df394068dcd503ddc4.jpg Adding a mini cutscene or sound effect for the switch would be excellent. Then there was this weird looking stairy thing floating there after the cutscene. At first I really didn't know what to do, but I managed to get to the next floor after a while. Then there was this spiky challenge in the stairway. Man, you need some patience if you want to go through this! Well, not really once you understand the pattern. The score bubbles were a nice touch as a hint. More stuff, and then there is this electricty part in the stairs. Though a bit tricky, it was one of the most professional challenges in the level so far. I was loving the lightning effects, well done with that Ok, one of my main problems here were the curscene triggers. In the cutscene before the bridge thing, I had already fallen of the bridge when it started. And when I was in the lab (awesome monster costume ) it started after I had gotten past the Doctor. Oh, and there was a random gadget visible here: http://ib.lbp.me/img/ft/f4b6b4b293cca2b482c9454a8e4772f1ccb9f3e5.jpg I would suggest making clearer what the boss battle is about, where you have to shoit the machines to turn them off. Time for... THE GRADES!!!: Gameplay: 3/5 Nice ideas, but some were confusing or bad executed. Graphics: 4/5 Even though some parts were quite too simple, it was the overall best aspect of the level. Sound: 3/5 Some switches didn't have sound effects, so I couldn't really know if they worked. Nice music choice. Overall: 3/5: Don't misunderstand me, I thought it was a pretty neat level with nice ideas and a good story, yet there are lots of thing that could be improved. I know we all begin with simple levels, and this surely deserves much more plays than the 12 plays it had when I played it. Hopefully you'll get better noticed in the future You know, for the F4F... Can you leave me some feedback in my level? The LBCentral level thread for it is this: https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=73503-Pro_The-Insurance-Chronicles and the lbp.me link is this: http://lbp.me/v/d439rv You can also find the lbp.me link in my signature.
