Level Idea: Sack Carnival

Alright, so while I was at school today, I was sketching out ideas for lbp, and one of the things I sketched out was a ferris wheel. That lead me to the thought of a carnival themed littlebigplanet level. Of course, not being very familiar with carnival rides, I only have a few ride ideas so far.

Ride Ideas -

Ferris Wheel

A Roller Coaster (it will launch you to the end of the level)

A Swinging Pirate Ship

Reverse Bungie

Cliffhanger (a simulated kite flying ride)

Chair-O-Planes (except in 2d :/)

Speed

Top Spin

Freak Out

Zipper

Enemies -

Scary Clowns

Wow! sounds pretty good.

You could have a platform on one side of the pirate ship and another on the other side, then either have it motorised or you'd have to run left and right to get it to swing high enough to get to the other platform.

A ghost house could be a level in and of itself.

OMG i cant wait for the rollercoaster but im gonna make my own ive beem thinking about it for a while
LBP is going to be full of roller coasters that people have made, that's for sure.

I've come up with a few more ideas for rides I'll add.

How about a full 360 degree pirate ship like at an amusement park in my state. Its really fun and you could make it in one plane and it just spins and spins and spins2008-08-16 23:11:00

I've got some ideas in my as to what they will look like. I'll probably have several different versions of them. Here's a description of what I have thought of so far:

A dark purple haired emo clown

A Ronald McDonald looking clown

The classic colored afro clown

A jester type of clown

That's it for now. D:

You could have money hidden around (..or pretty obviously placed around..) the level, that (using magnetic triggers, if possible) react with the rides, starting them up.

Nothing is free in this world.

Likewise, you could have money react with certain "stands", such as fairy floss, and hot dogs (..I think somebody already mentioned something like this), that release said items when you hand over the money.		2008-08-17 09:41:00

That's a good idea, I'll have to see if I can do that with the tools LBP provides.

I read your thread... there were some good ideas in there. I hadn't even thought about bumper cars, cotton candy enemies, the elevator of terror, or the superman ride! Maybe we could work together on this?		2008-08-19 23:45:00

This sounds cool, I would want to ride the elevator of terror although I think it would be better if the level was like a lobby with no finish.

it's a big possibility... considering you can have up to 4 building at the same time, we really could work together and make a cool level...

but i must say, my number one priority would be to try and make the zipper... it's soo complicated, but if we do it, it will be the best thing ever invented on lbp... ever

The Zipper would be an awesome thing to build, here, I'll add you on PSN and then we'll work on it together when it comes out, this will be the first level I'm creating, so if we could get together and do it, that'd be awesome.
