Item Sending: Is this possible or not?

Archive: 11 posts

Hi, LBPC Community. I've just been wondering: Is it possible to send items to someone in LBP2 (even if they aren't on your friends list?), and if so, then how do you do it? Thanks.2012-08-30 02:27:00

I don't think you can send them gifts but maybe you can if they are on your "Player Met" list.2012-08-30 02:38:00

You can only send objects and stickers to people on your friends list, but for other players you can use a lockbox - do a search and you'll probably find some community lockboxes, if you don't want to make one.
You set up the lockbox to open when a code is entered, then PM the code to the person you want to share with.
Or, it's less secure but really quick: Just make an invisible sticker switch that activates with any sticker, then tell the other player where they have to put a sticker.

Are you sure you can't send by message? Cause I'm gonna be making costumes for unc92sax's level series on Vita. I would find it easier to just send it to him and not have to do anything complicated.2012-08-30 23:57:00

Just add him as a friend, it's not that hard. You can delete them after if it bothers you that much.2012-08-31 14:26:00

Thats the problem. I'm not aloud to be friends with people that I don't know in person. Thats why I even made this thread so that I could learn how to give items to people without having to make a level or joining people.

Can you invite them to your moon? They can capture what they want. They don't have to be a friend to join you.2012-09-01 01:57:00

Rather odd reason, sounds like you'll have a rather small friend list. (I actually think its worse having PSN friends with people you know, watch as your friend gets mad at you the next day when you Friendly Fired him in the head in a Call of Duty)

But anyway besides a lockbox, an Message invite in LBP2 (Find the players profile and there should be an invite button to send a message) then when you 2 are together just go to a crater and get your object out for him to copy. (or it in a prize bubble). No idea if this feature will be there in LBP Vita (most likely not, a lot of people disliked it in LBP2)

Another possible idea is to have him wait in a level no one is currently playing (one without the no sackboy sign) and if you try to play that level yourself and it asks if you want to join anyone playing it, you'll join him.

Not to be rude, but none of these really answer my question. I just want to send him a messege over PSN with the costumes in it (if that is even possible).2012-09-01 20:06:00

We have answered your question. You can only do that if you are friends with him. If, as you mentioned, you are not allowed to be friends with him, then you must use one of the other methods mentioned above.
