**I don't know if this has been done** I don't have the skill to create anything close to this but here's the idea: I'm thinking 3 buttons, red, yellow, green, or what ever. It'd be more like tap tap revenge come to think about it. It'd have to have something to do with the notes falling, as I imagine doing it horizontal would be near impossible.. The song would have to be simple (i'm think Only by Nine Inch Nails) as there's only 3 buttons and LBP's music notes are kind of limited. Post your ideas and thoughts. | 2009-01-11 04:59:00 Author: BizzyBox Posts: 32 |
should be cool! I'm trying to figure out how you'd get the notes to play only if you're on the corresponding coloured button though... would be hard at fast parts | 2009-01-11 05:06:00 Author: Trap_T Posts: 431 |
It'd be something to do with the buttons being switches connected to sound objects? I dunno lol ^^ | 2009-01-11 05:10:00 Author: BizzyBox Posts: 32 |
I played a level that did just this the other day... everything was in japanese so its not even like I could tell you what it was called. It was a few pages back in the cool levels section. It was basically 3 pressbutton switches on the floor. Behind those, was a thin panel of glass (a screen) and yellow, red and blue rectangles were falling behind it. If you stepped on the correct button as the blocks fell past the floor, the notes of the song sounded. Honestly, it worked, but wasn't very much fun. Jumping up and down on three buttons for a couple of minutes was pretty boring. Mechanically speaking, it must have taken a lot of effort to program because just getting the note blocks to fall in a specific sequence is mind boggling. Plus, getting them hooked up to play individual notes of a song? If you could make the experience more immersive, it might be worth the effort, but its a risky venture. | 2009-01-11 05:25:00 Author: Thegide Posts: 1465 |
Well, it has been done. Perhaps you've played Libidius? The creator that made those levels made a rendition of Guitar Hero. (sorry, can't remember the name) It was done in basically the same way in which you've described. However, I don't believe that it actually played a song. I think it was just random notes. Either that, or I sucked. XD | 2009-01-11 05:26:00 Author: Unknown User |
It's been done, but it's not really fun. The rate the notes have to go in order for you to have time to move, and the lack of a guitar controller or real song make for a boring experience. | 2009-01-11 06:30:00 Author: BassDeluxe Posts: 984 |
Yeah, and I was kinda thinking the song would have to be really slow for the sackperson to get all the notes Ah well! | 2009-01-11 20:26:00 Author: BizzyBox Posts: 32 |
I think the one that the creator of libius made is called dance dance revolution but it works almost the same way as lbp guitar hero would do. | 2009-01-13 20:57:00 Author: Marklin80 Posts: 458 |
Ive created a really good (in my opinion) Guitar Hero Level, called "Rock Hero - Guitar God". Creator is Deano_1 if you wanna check it out. Im really happy with the pace of the song as well as the scoring system. Give it a try for a few ideas | 2009-01-19 12:33:00 Author: Unknown User |
