There are TONS of DLC packs on LBP from Disney, not to mention they're helping with Wonderbook so there's a strong relationship between them and Sony. Do you think it might happen or is LBP not 'classic' enough like Pacman, Mario, and Sonic? Although it would be cool to include current games/IPs... Plus this is a great way for developers to promote their games.(I bet Sega/Namco/Nintendo didn't think twice about giving Disney the rights) I personally think the chances are slim, but then again it's interesting how close Disney is to Sony compared to it's competitors... Hmmm.

Disney isn't "close" to Sony. These are companies we're talking about. It's just business. If Sony pays for product placement, then maybe Sackboy could appear as a cameo or something. But it isn't going to happen just because LBP received Disney-themed DLC. This kind of stuff isn't uncommon in videogames. Just look at fighting games, they get bonus characters from other companies all the time.

Just look at fighting games, they get bonus characters from other companies all the time. Good point. I just meant more that they're on good terms, not so much best friends or anything. What I don't get is paying to have your character in a game/movie. Think about PS All-Stars, Activision aren't going to pay Superbot to have Sypro and Crash in the game, it would be the other way around. I guess it depends really on who wants the character in it. Anyway this probably won't happen, just thought it would be an interesting topic to discuss. With Sony promoting LBP so much this year who knows what they'd do for more exposure. I was pretty surprised with the DLC included with that Pirates movie.

nah i doubt it. movie looks like trash anyway so i think its a good thing lbp won't feature, it could stain its reputation.

Not going to happen. Well the licence fee Nintendo wanted for the inclusion of Mario was too high. True, LBP only came out 4 years ago and I'm sure this movie was in production far before then. It would be neat though if the game got even more exposure. I'm confused.. Wouldn't Disney WANT Mario in their movie considering how many fans there are of his games? I wouldn't think Nintendo would have to pay so much to include him, or even pay at all. EDIT: Oops, I think I read that last part wrong. Why would Nintendo want money from Disney if this is pretty much free promotion for their games? I think I got it right now

EDIT: Oops, I think I read that last part wrong. Why would Nintendo want money from Disney if this is pretty much free promotion for their games? I think I got it right now When you have an asset like Mario a cameo in a film isn't going to give any significant boost to sales with the free publicity so you take the large sum of cash. Hmm, in the preview there's a shooter called 'Hero's Duty'... Not sure if Call of Duty qualifies as an arcade game either Heroes duty is a light gun game in the films Arcade I think its supposed to cover COD and all of the modern state of gaming compared with how things were in the era Raplhs game is from.
