Less Than 100

Archive: 3 posts

Hey guys.

I have a feedback loop setup for a health system and I'm running into a few issues. I'm using a 'Greater than 0' chip on my health bar to prevent health packs being picked up when health is full. This seems to work fine until I actually pick up health. Even though the health will not increase back to 100, the greater than 0 chip will revert back and not allow any more health to be picked up. i.e. It will only let you pick up health once you've been hurt, and once you've picked up some you have to be hurt again before you can pick up more.

It seems to remember whether the last input was a subtraction or an addition. I wouldn't have thought this would effect it? Is there a way to detect 'Less than 100' as opposed to 'Greater than 0'? I have a feeling this might be the problem, but the weird behaviour is throwing me off.

EDIT:
Just realised I can use a sequencer. I knew there was a simple solution! Almost lost my mind there. Anyway would still be useful I guess to know if there's a way to check for 'Less than 100' using logic rather than a sequencer?

placing a NOT gate both b4 and after your "greater than 0" chip will do the trick, the only ways to get digital from an analog signal are a timer, sequencer or controlinator inputs, although you can do a lot with analog without needing digital at all. for example u can turn on and off an analog signal when another analog signal reaches a certain strength, u can even create one frame 100% pulses for adding/subtracting to/from loops etc without using digital at all.2012-08-25 18:23:00

I was originally trying to turn on another analogue signal but couldn't figure it out. I'll give the not gates a try just to get my head around it, but I think I'll stick with the sequencer for now. Thanks. 2012-08-25 18:30:00
