I don't understand why all these people get obsessed on "My Little Pony" and "Strawberry Shortcake". Now vote what you consider brony to be. Why are people brony? I'm not. What do you consider brony to be? Try not to offend people or troll! I am just trying to get this from other people's perspectives.

I honestly don't care. So, they like a show that I don't, what's up with that? Only because the show might look and even be directed towards other demographic, they seem to get a lot of attention, specially the ones that seek this attention. I really think that it is very immature. It differs from Video Games and other genres. Those things are directed towards the majority of males, and sometimes females... This show is directed towards little preschool girls. And if you think it is normal for older men to like little girl shows, I have nothing to argue about, except that it could also be directed towards a gender and age confused male. But I assume everyone here is sane enough to know what gender they are...

To be honest MLP is like homosexuality for me~ I don't have anything against it, I don't mind you liking/being it, I'm just better off not experiencing it myself. But chiefly, both of them don't really have a obvious reason why I'd rather not experience it.

I... your insistence that liking a show, makes you a homosexual, is very misguided - not to mention offensive. I like the show, and happen to be bisexual. So what? It's a show, and I like to just sit back and watch something cute sometimes. I don't see anything wrong about that. On another note, I actually have quite a few friends that are transgender... I really am trying very hard to not rage out at this thread.

I don't get why the existance of bronies bothers people so much. The whole thing is quite easy to ignore in general, the most you should see is a few sigs/avatars on a forum and the occaisional pony vid being in the related section on youtube.

Someone said on it that all of us here can't be any different, what with playing as a cute little cartoon character in a cute 2D platformer level with lots of silly misadventures. There are people playing CoD and other games they're conforming to thinking that it must be some kind of secret to it or irony in playing it, but we play it simply because we like the concept and other people who play it. We can't be any different towards the MLP fandom. If we dislike the idea, whatever, just back off before you add any unnecessary harm.

They love it because Lauren Faust is a bloody genius, and her animating team are like gods. As are Daniel Ingram's musical compositions. Despite the fact in the olden days it was standard for a man to have a horse and not a woman, perhaps an obsession with ponies might be a bit weird these days. But it's not that. MLP is nothing like homosexuality, because homosexuality is a sexual orientation that you are born with, whereas MLP is a show that people watch for entertainment. It has been tried and tested all over the world to change someone's sexual orientation, and it does NOT work, because it CANNOT work. If you get your jimmies rustled over people enjoying a cartoon, and assuming that they are then homosexual, you need to re-evaluate your outlook. Yes, I agree some people take the fandom to the extreme in a "HELP HELP, I'M BEING REPRESSED" sort of way, and it can sometimes worry even the more casual bronies, but frankly, that's none of your concern.

Try not to offend people or troll! I am just trying to get this from other people's perspectives. I'm pretty sure you've just contradicted yourself here, considering all that's been said here so far. Anyway, I'm fine with MLP. Like others who've posted here, I don't care to watch it, but that doesn't mean that I have some problems with others viewing it themseIves. I do have to agree with LBD though about the extensive amount of fan-art showcased for MLP, Homestuck and Korra can be pretty absurd at times, overshadowing all these other talented pieces of art. (And this is coming from a true Korra fan, not that I care about all those fan-fic relationships..) In the end, both sides have their causuals who are fine for those who do watch it, and are fine with those who don't. There's no need for either side to force their way upon the others. As long as they don't try shoving the brony/pony stuff too much in our faces, then I'm fine with it. I just don't understand why the argument started in the first place.
