The mysterious package

I wanted to share this with you all

I will translate the most important bits shortly after if they haven't already.

- They're preparing to open up the package. They're discussing the contents but they don't know what it contains. The gandalf-dude carrying it is the local historian. He's speculating there' something about King Haakon or the prime minister that visited at the time.

-They're celebrating the battle that took place in 1612 or whatever when the norwegians defeated the scots in a battle back then. Watch the link I posted up top for all info on this.

-Lame norwegian singing begins. Cover your ears.

-Blablabla Scotland blablabla (she's talking about how Scotland is only four years old)

- Allright, they're going to sing and dance and play scottish pipes and fiddles before they unwrap this thing.

- They've unwrapped it. The package reveals tons of letters posted from the states, a banner that looked like it was from the king. It said "From the King" on it. Ledgers...receipts.

- The museum people have retreated (?) to examine the contents further and will let us in on much more some time later. I will update this later tonight or tomorrow or whenever stuff happens.

Why do people post these things 24 hours before they open it.
It's just annoying.

Now it will be burning in the back of my mind for hours. X_X

I'm guessing it's a doomsday warning! That would be funny/scary/trippy.

They've said 17:00 GMT but it looks like it's been delayed just 30 minutes. I guess they're preparing for the event. It could be a banner.2012-08-24 16:44:00

The website streaming it always said 18:00 my time. It's now fifteen minutes past. Then I heard someone mentioned the program they're doing first and that they'll open it at 18:30. Maybe it's 19:00. I don't know. I'm watching the stream like the rest of you.2012-08-24 17:16:00

No, it's 17:16 in the UK but we're on BST, which is GMT+1.

Watch it at 18:30 BST, then. It'll be over by then.

From what basketsnake said it sounds like they're using ******** time and calling it GMT anyway

I was hoping for a painting or a confession or love letter or something. LETDOWN OF THE CENTURY.

Seriously though, interesting stuff. Maybe there is some juicy stuff in the telegrams since this was just before WWI.

I believe he read "1934" on one of the papers too. Weird. I'll post later once they've dug through this.
