I am guilty of falling behind in my consumption of Pocket Moon Podcast. As a result, my forfeit will be to shave off half of my beard. The left half.2012-08-23 16:30:00

GREAT PODCAST ONCE AGAIN GUYS I REALLY ENJOYED THE INTERVIEW WITH PUT I AM NOT SURE I AGREE WITH TAFFEY ON THE BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY FOR THE NEXT GEN 3D LBP BECAUSE OF HOW IT MAY LIMIT NEW FEATURES AND CHANGES THEY WOULD WANT TO MAKE 2.5D LBP HAS NO PLACE IN A 3D LBP WORLD AS FAR AS THE EITHER OR QUESTION I AM GOING TO HAVE TO BREAK THE RULES AND SAY I CHOOSE BOTH

SORRY HAD TO QUOTE SINCE BOARD DIDN'T LIKE ME CHOOSING BOTH =p

@Domik: Thanks for listening :-) It is always a pleasure to hear from you! BTW, you came up in our discussion while Jeff, Tom, and I were in Chicago together. All good things were said about you

@GribbleGrunger: Well, that is the best thing you could offer :-) And you are willing to pop in and say you listened which is a nice bonus!

@Sackpapoi: I'm glad that you enjoyed the podcast and the topics we chose

@WeirdyBeardy: Well you NEED to listen to this one. StevenI calls you out on this one in regards to the PMP theme song you made Well... I guess Tom references a Twitter message from Steven.

@Xenon: I see you took the "Would you rather" question about all caps or no punctuation from an episode or 2 ago very seriously

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed Put's interview, she was a great guest! And the backward compatibility discussion was a great on that wasn't even in the agenda Thanks for listening!

I have many buisness travels across the Europe and I hope, that a little bit latter I will visit USA and we will finally meet somewhere

Keep going to create nice and interesting podcasts! Good luck, my friends

@xenon: I see you took the "would you rather" question about all caps or no punctuation from an episode or 2 ago very seriously

I thought that was from this episode. The point is moot anyway since this board doesn't allow you to post in all caps

I’ve been a bit busy with activities and discussions in the Survivor S10 competition that I’ve not gotten to this feedback until now.

I really do just yammer on and on so I’ll work to keep this on the shorter side.

Mnnastian-cast was a great opening sequence. Mnniska should think about doing a short parody podcast, I’m sure that people would enjoy it.

-----

Fun podcast as usual, great to hear Puttatittut speak up and talk about different things. With all the discussion on how she got to where she is you seemed to overlook asking her for the origin of her screen name. ‘Puttatittut’ at least in English is unique enough that there may be an interesting story behind it. (Or maybe just a funny one.)

-----

Best introductions to game types? Not too sure. I know what I don’t like; the type of introduction where you start off all powerful and fully leveled up then something happens, woops, and you lose all you power and have to spend the rest of the game restoring yourself back to full strength.

The other type of introduction is where you start out weak and in the middle of some type of fight or siege type scenario. This is supposed to be the tutorial section and so even though you are completely weak you still end up fighting through a horde of enemies, your one hit killing them outright. Then later on in the game when you play the same enemies for real they have a million hit points.

-----

I’m thinking that the LittleBigProgressive competition is a Sony even rather than a Media Molecule event. MM made the game but the IP belongs to Sony and this is just the type of thing that corporations do when they are leveraging their IP in ways to make money through strategic sponsorships.

There a probably some folks in the MM towers who are just as uncomfortable with their baby being used to shill for Progressive Insurance but are unable to say anything about it. That is just my speculation.

-----

I like how the Would You Rather question got answered this time around. A much harder question because both conventions are fairly ingrained in us. It is interesting that those who would go for no punctuation say that they’d come up with a new means of showing punctuation. A nice solution, inventing a new, schema but also one that would be difficult for others to learn and pick up at first glance.

So you’d be in almost the same boat with either choice. I learned to use punctuation at the same time as I learned capitalization in school. But I like being able to communicated clearly even if I had to use capitalized letters. I may be considered odd, rude or other things but people would have no problem understanding me.

With no punctuation it would be harder for people to quickly understand my meaning.

-----

Looking forward to more Survivor gossip and discussion but also still realize that that type of thing only really appeals to like 20 of your 200+ listeners.

Otherwise good work on another interesting podcast. Thank you Puttatittut and Mnniska on a job well done and looking forward to more podcasts in the future.

@TinyMoMo: Sorry that the podcast is a bit long for your taste. Then again, we couldn't cover much of anything in 10 minutes

@Xenon: You are correct! It was this episode. Sorry about that.

@Trindall: It's good to hear that you liked the intro! It would be fun to see Mnniska do his own podcast

It would have been good to have asked her where her name came from, but thanks to you asking here I have seen her answer on at least on of the sites

It sounds like you don't like the Metroid staple, huh I think when the convention of seeing yourself fully loaded out at the start of the came was new it was a cool convention. It is pretty neat to see how powerful you will get by the end of the game, but at the same time, that convention has been so overused that it is pretty much just irritating now.

It's good to hear that you also dislike it when a game starts having you take on half an army as a recruit and you someone are just mowing over 100's of baddies with a single hit and taking down end-boss sized creatures.

That's a great point that you make about LittleBigProgressive most likely being something that is being run by Sony, and there is a chance that even Mm shudders to see their baby selling out like this.

Woo-hoo! Trindall agrees with Tom and me, which obviously means we are right

Survivor has gone so crazy over the last few days that I don't know if Tom and I could even start to scratch the surface without talking about it for 10 to 15 minutes
