Baddie boundaries (AI issues)

Hey, I'm creating a level with a lot of erratic badguys. They aren't run by sackbots, and they aren't run by those little brain thingies from LBP1. They have four movers that each move in one direction, and a randomizer that changes between them every half second or so, so they scurry like insane rats. For the baddies that chase the player, the player sensor overrides the randomizer and instead works with a follower. However, I'd like to keep them restricted in a certain part of the level so they don't run all over the place. To remedy this issue, I place a follower in their circuit that fled from a yellow tag. Some of the baddies seem to avoid the yellow tag, but the erratic ones don't seem to even notice it.

Any ideas as to why this is or how I can fix this? Maybe a suggestion as to how I can keep my baddies in line?

I have two ideas.
1. The mover or follower with the highest strength setting is going to take over.
2, I like to turn movers off when I don't want them to work. Perhaps you might try a tag sensor and a player sensor with an and gate are needed to chase the players. If your baddies leave the radius of the tag sensor, no matter how close they are to a player, the follower will turn off.

adding an AND gate with impact sensors will do the trick use a hologram box separated into 4 sections with 4 different colored tags named boundary impacts with same colors and names set to inverted will work2012-08-23 07:00:00

Both of your advice was very helpful. I ended up boosting the strength of the "flee" to 100%, but that caused them to sit still and refuse to move. Eventually, I hooked the flee command to a tag sensor, so it isn't constantly activated or acknowledged by the AI. It works fantastically, but now they get stuck sometimes.

They still act strange sometimes. Now I'm working on getting them to stop trapping me. You can get backed up to a wall and get trapped as the baddies kill you. Kind of scary, but not the challenge I was looking for.
