Problem with Electronic Cube

Archive: 7 posts

I'm making a level where Electronic Cubes supposed to get on in a certain time.
I use sequencer logic and put in the toggle (set to off). I connect toggle exit to the Electronic Cube. In "Play mode" the Electronic Cube just stays on.

It works in a different level(!) but not in the level where it supposed to work. Could be the reason that I'm maybe putting to much stuff, cables etc. on my level or something? I actually dont think it could be.

Why toggle at all if using a sequencer?

once a toggle is on it requires a second input to turn off again... effectively the sequencer needs to loop

since you are using a sequencer it would be easier to use a battery to define the time it needs to stay on and off. This way the sequencer doesn't need to loop.

Well that's the theory, your post is fairly vague when it comes to describing the complete set up so answers may not be totally accurate. Pictures would help.

Sorry, I don't add people on psn until I get to know them on here or they are friends of friends who have proven to be trustworthy in game. Nothing personal, it's just with the magnitude of lbp glitches it never hurts to be careful... especially in create mode.

Secondly, I tend to deal in suggestions as it helps people learn through their own personal experience. If you want somebody to show you a solution you should mention that in your original post.

Hint #2: Make sure the battery doesn't reach the very end of the sequencer.

also, site wise... it's best to avoid double posting, instead use the edit button on your posts, but this is a mod's territory, so I'll say no more on the subject.

Is the sequencer moving? What sets it off? You can test things in create mode, no need to jump into play every time you want to see it work.

All you should need is a sequencer, and a battery inside the sequencer that fills the amount of time you want it to be on. You can expand the size of the sequencer just like a microchip (R-stick). You can also edit the amount of time each 'bar' (alternating shaded sections) takes to move past. Make sure something sets of the sequencer, else nothing will happen.

There should be no toggle if using a sequencer.

If you'd like to keep the toggle, you should attach a timer to it, and have the timer self-reset. This will 'toggle' the output every time the timer fills.

I suggest reading http://wiki.lbpcentral.com/Sequencer, and any other logic components you are having difficulty with. The list of pieces can be found in a drop-down menu at the bottom of the page (click the 'show' button on the green LBP2 tab).

EDIT: Are you certain the battery is connected to the light?

Actually the logic has to be correct, or it wouldn't work in Create Mode.
If I test it in Create Mode it works but if I go to play mode, then the Cubes just stay "On" all the time.
And I forgot to mention that I'm making a movie, that's why I prefer toggle insteadt of battery. But both are working of course.
