The only thing LBP2 needs fixed IS:

Archive: 19 posts

we need to be able to allow everyone to hear the music we play in pod, like from our ps3 system.MM you have to find a way to make this work! it would be amazing to listen to real music with everyone while just chilling, even in create mode.

we would be able to have an option, both to send and receive. we could turn off receiving music from other people, and we could turn off sending music while playing it in pod or create.

music received from other people would not be retrievable as an item, only there to listen to until its over.

edit: i know about copyright issues, im not a dope. im just saying that purposely recording music on a mic and then giving it away is pirating, so yeah

edit2: HEY, some of you cant read that it would be OPTIONAL to hear music that the game host plays, as well as an option to send music you play as host
MM, PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN

Wait, wut. The only thing you think needs fixed is something that isn't even an issue? I could think of a lot of things that actually need a patch.

Anyways, this can never be done due to copyright reasons. The music on your system is owned by you, and sending most of whatever you have on your HD would be illegal. Tracks need to be specially licenced in order for streaming from one person to another to be legal.
Plus I can't imagine this feature being very popular even it was legal and realistically possible.
It'd lag like hell, and as if I want to hear my friends crappy music - Mine is way better.

I don't think many of my friends would like "ROW, ROW, FIGHT THE POWER!” to startle them upon joining my party.

Music created using sequencers, maybe.

If you want your friends to hear your music, you can play it over an extremely low-quality microphone using Voice Chat.

I could see a feature like this getting obnoxious REALLY quickly. Hell, I can't even stand when people pop out sackbots with terrible music, what makes you think that direct streaming the same terrible music would be better? Furthermore, this would almost certainly cause some copyright issues.

There are a lot of bugs that need fixing before they add anything like this.

*MR MEAN GUY ACTIVATED :kz:* im guessing your new with the internet or living under a rock for so long. that's a big no no in the rules of copyrights. all the things lbp needs to be patched no is more important than this! *MR MEAN GUY DEACTIVATED...*

the power of the mean guy is harsh but true...i would of said "it's a copyright rule to not do this. nuff said" but that went out of the window when you said "the only thing lbp2 needs fixed IS:". it would be cool but mostly bad if that rule doesn't exist.

COOL:
. finally a guy that haves in common about music.

BAD:
. TURN THE GOD **** MUSIC OFF!!!
. *turns on justin b* *die instantly*
. ( for kids ) *song with potty mouths on* *mom walks in* grounded!!! (fine with games [ that don't say bad language TOO often ]but music is different)
i can go on and on with this but mr mean guy can say this with only several words instead of a book of this.
thank mr mean guy to get on with it. he will return :kz:

I don't get your point -
Recording things with mics = Pirating. Not OK.
Streaming music = Pirating. But OK to do?

They're both illegal, neither is OK.

edit2: HEY, some of you cant read that it would be OPTIONAL to hear music that the game host plays, as well as an option to send music you play as host

I don't think you understand peoples points, here -
We know you said it would be an optional feature, but if everyone who responded says they would disable it, then clearly it's not a very popular idea in the first place.

im not a dope.

I lol'd.

Yeah sorry but no. I would take the game outside burn it, kick it, punch it, shoot it, hammer nails into it, run it over, cook it, rick roll it, shoot it again, and quite possibly sit on it if they made it so you can hear other players music in the pod.

The last thing I want to hear is little kids and their obsession with this crappy next generation dubstep sh**.

clearly if MM doesnt care about the thousands of recorded sackbot music levels, what makes you think they would care about being able to play your own music?

Because one is a crappy quality misuse of a legitimate feature by braindead kids.
The other is a feature that would serve only to illegally share music.

mm doesn't care about our levels. you can tell cause cool page is garbage. they only care about patching bugs and glitches like any other game. also im sure mm is smart about this, the "it would be OPTIONAL to hear music that the game host plays, as well as an option to send music you play as host" is obviously illegal. im sure our friends don't care what we like on music. just listen to music on your ps3. im sure they don't want to be brain dead if they hate "this" type of music. imagine if you are not the host and he/she played a song you hate so bad.

Really, I find this pointless. I always just listen to Comishguy, hammys, or Hug-of-war. That is the best stuff.2012-08-25 05:01:00

This would make dive in and sitting in friend's pods who do not share my taste in music 100% worse. No.2012-08-25 13:56:00

This is quite silly,First of all,Why are you saying this needs to be FIXED,Like it's an obivios feature to put in the game,Not everything that seems like it would make the game better has to be added,And this is going way over a legitimate request and its ridiculous to say it must be "fixed".
Anyway,It would just be silly,What makes you think everyone wants to hear your music so badly...? Beside,I don't think so many people have music on they're PS3,All of that a side,This is simply Illegal! Mm doesn't have a right to just stream music to people who don't own it. Also,If this was in some form something to be "fixed" it would definitely wouldn't be "the ONLY thing" That needs to be fixed...
