RPG Character Contest

Hey there fellow Sack Things, ever wanted to have one of your amazing costumes in a some one elses level? Well now you can.
All advertisments aside I'm making an RPG level, and I can't possibly make all the random citezens on my own, so I'm asking you to post some of your cool costumes here, along with some other info of course.

The rules are simple(somewhat):


1-make a costume
2-choose a race
3- make some dialog
4-name it

1-You must post a pic of your costume here. Also I wouldn't mind a link of somesort so I can download the costume so i can get it in my level. Or send me a friend request. Anyway would be fine.

2-They must fit into these races I have listed below



Humans
-Regular plain old average joe people. They have regular clothes, and plain skin colors.

Angels
-There somewhat like Humans but have wings, lighter colored clothes, and you know what ever else angel people have.

Orcs
-Theses guys are big and burly. They dark colored skins(greens, blues, and reds) and have barbaric clothes an weapons.

Fish people things
- Um aquatic mer-things and fish-dudes. Mostly blue shades in clothes and and stuff.

A Plant Creature
-Um kinda like deku-scrubs from Zelda. But as lon as looks plantlike I don't care what it is.


Robots
-Now I don't want to see any thing like a sackbot costume, like the ones in storymode. No i wanted to see amazig mechanical beings. Steampunk, futuristic-techno, any type you want.

Everything else
-perhaps you want to make a friendly monster, or crazy alien. Well so if it doesn't fit anywhere else it goes here.



3-You can't have any dlc I don't own, so here's a list of what I got

4- You can enter as many as you want, as long as it doesn't surpass 5.
And they'll all get put in the level. So in other words there's an entry of 5 Characters per person.

5-Everyone is a WINNER. Yep every costume entered will be in the level. But I will decide the Top Three and give them major rolls in the story.

6/1-In the case you don't make the top three, you can give your sack/costume thing Dialog. Yep all you do is right 1-5 pieces of dialog (that can fit in a magic mouth) and it'll say that when you talk to them. List them in the order they want to be said and presto they talk. Also it'll cycle through the lines over and over.
6/2- If you want to have your character a side quest, Post a before completion phrase, and after completion phrase, and what the side quest is. Please make it reasonable. Heres a list of example side quests and please make the quest something like one of thes it makes it easier to put in the level.



-Item get: This will be the simple get an item for me. It could be somethin like "I'm sick bring me a potion" or "find my lost cat"

-Slay 'em all: This is a simple extermination quest. It goes like this "kill 3 mushy for me" or "kill a shiny( a rare different colered tougher enemy) mushy"

-See you there: This is a go somehere quest, like "meet me on top of the mountain"

-Anything else: Just try to make it simple. Nothing to complex.

-Note: The enemy, and location on some side quests i'll decide so that way it matches better with the level. So if you do do a quest like that, just put something general like monster or building. But I'll try to keep it as close to what you want.




7-They need a name. If you do not name them i'll use you LBPCentral account as the name.

8-No naughty or vulgar language/costumes. If so you'll entry will be invalid.

9- It must be posted before the 1st of October. That is the official deadline.

Additional info:

-My PSN is Yusuke-Kuwabara so
if you send me a friend request thats mine right there. Please list yours if you send me one.

-The level is nowhere near complete, so don't expect to see them in awhile.
As of now though it is to be known as "Lost in Translation" so look for that in distant future.

-The code for the weapon will be sent via Private Message, you will be able to input it at the secret shop somewhere in the final level.

Alright, questions...

1. Is dialogue necessary for each entry? If so, should it be involved with giving the player a side quest, or something simple like when you walk by them?

2. Reading over it again, I don't really see a prize. I mean, that doesn't really matter much to me, but considering it's labelled as a contest, it might be good to throw something in there if every entry is already going to be able to get in. If you need any suggestions, simple things like XP or w.e would do just fine I'd imagine.

3. I don't recall seeing a deadline either. Is there one, or is it less like a deadline, but more like a limit of costumes, and there can be no more entries when the necessary amount of entries have been added in.

If there aren't any true prizes, and there isn't supposed to be a real deadline either, then I'd say this would be more fitting as a help thread over in 'Find other happy gadders' instead of being labelled as a community contest. Not that that's a bad thing, I can see how you might've wanted to make things more interesting with your request for some costume-making talents to offer up some civilian outfits. Anyway though, I'll see if I can make some costumes and post images of them before the end of the week.		2012-08-20 20:11:00

2-I was gonna thinkin about giving out XP, but I mostly use the mobile version so XP really means nothing to me. Nor do I know what it is used for. But I'll give it out.

3-Oh I forgot the deadline I didn't even notice, its the 1st of November, all entries must be submitted before then.

Okay as for prizes

Only top 3 will get 100XP and a main part in the story.

While everyone (including the top 3) who enters gets there costume in the level, credit to them, and a bonus weapon code.

Well i figured you would send me a friend request(or i send one) then after the acceptence, you push share on a sackbot with the costume equipped, then after i recieve it, we delete each other off the friends list and go seperate our seperate ways.

Or you could publish a level giving it out as a prize and delete the level after I recieve. So which ever works best for you.		2012-08-20 23:09:00

Oh well I know adding side quests would be just another thing you'd have to implement, so you don't have to if you don't want to or just weren't planning on doing it. Background dialogue is fine too, so yeah, I'll see if I can come up with some of that to go along with my entries.

Yeah, XP doesn't mean much really. Name changes and upgrades pretty much. Even though its worthless though, its fun to toss from person to person I guess, and helps label the contest with its own prize.

Wow, that's over two months. Welp, I guess I have no rush then. xD But yeah, thanks for telling me. You don't have to make it that long, but hey, it's your call dude.

Alright, thanks for mentioning that. I just wanted to make sure people could really think of it as a contest, and yeah, getting your costume as a main role in an RPG is pretty slick.

Anymore Questions?

I think that's all I have to say for the time being, for questions I mean. I will have to ask one more though. What if I entered a costume with a bit of background dialogue to accompany it, and it ended up winning, becoming a main character in the RPG. Would I have to revise its dialogue to accommodate its bigger role in the story, or would you make it work yourself? Either way's fine if I were to be able to place in the Top 3, (not that I expect to ) but I understand you'd want it to fit with the story probably.

I know the question wasn't directed at me, but until Triforce gives his own response, I hope you don't mind if I take a crack at this one in the meantime. Perhaps let a sackbot try on the costume, save the bot with the outfit on as an object, secretly place a prize bubble holding the bot in a hidden area of one of your costume galleries, tell triforce how to access this secret location, and presto! He can then edit the bot, save the costume, and use it in his RPG.

...Although I'm sure there's a much less complicated way of handling this then what I had just typed. <.<

You might want to take it back, I forgot about the month of october. I was thinking November was about 1 month away. Fail. Ohwell the official deadline is the before the first of October. No more changing it. Lets just pretend that was a typo... yeah a typo sounds good.

Also i'll add side quest it is not a big deal. Just when you post the dialog, put a before complete phrase and an after complete phrase. And put the objective. Just make sure it matches with what they say.

Um if you win, I guess I would edit the their speach, because a main roll would mean they talk more then the usuall conversation. Idk, maybe I'll also put them in a citizen too, because all the citizens are randomized (excluding quests) so the peolpe you meet will be random. Anyways i'll put them as both, main and not. That way your dialog will still be used if you win.		2012-08-20 23:42:00

Oh, I see. Well, then you can be the triforce of courage, for being so straightforward about your mistake, oh brave one. Anyway, I'm pretty sure I'm de-railing this thread with zelda blabbering, so if someone can adjust the direction of the topic train for me, that'd be most appreciated.
