Kirby Dreamland Nightmare

If you like the little pink puff ball, you'll LOVE this game. Try many powers such as parasol, sword, bomb, and a couple more. I hope you enjoy it. Don't forget to heart me.

Actually, the level title is "Kirby Dreamland Madness".

Some of the things, like the Stone power-up and the Bomb power-up, are very interesting. The Bomb hat was a great idea. However, Wheel Kirby was poorly done, and the Parasol and Sword power-ups were a bit big. I realize that the sword is meant to combat a giant Waddle Dee, so that is okay.

A better way to do Wheel Kirby would be to make a flat Kirby made out of dissolve material and attach it to the wheel, which would be in the midground. Then put a sponge with a grab switch onto the back of the wheel. Make the switch dissolve Kirby and "transform" him into a wheel, which would then roll down the hill. Also(this next tip could apply to most of the transformations), you could attach a second grab switch set on "One-shot" onto the sponge, which you could attach to an emitter to shoot out stars when Kirby transfroms.

Now for the enemies. The enemies were great; I loved jumping on Waddle Dees and Doos. I even managed to "kill" the normal-sized Poppy Bros. Jr. But for the Waddle Doo with the electric "rope" or whatever it was, I think pistons moving each segment would have been more effective.

On to the actual level. The first part where you use the umbrella seemed very reminescent of Kirby games. I think it would've been cooler to make some star blocks block off a hole in the clouds where some prizes could be, like this:
.^^^^#####^^^.

The star blocks were greatly placed in the level. One thing though, you could glue them together. They just fall over when you walk into them. The second part of the level, where the giant Poppy Bros. is blocking your way, just didn't feel like a Kirby game, not to mention there were what looked like Mario hills in the background.

Overall, I gave it a (high) 3 for feeling like it wasn't completely finished. You definitely have a lot of potential, though.

There were really quite a few interesting gameplay elements in this. But it was also sorta mixed. Some of the background look more SMB3 than Kirby (c'mon, you need tons of stars and hearts). The dissolving star blocks were done well, including the bubbles that could only be had behind some of them. The giant umbrella was fun. The wheel was OK, but didn't feel speedy.

I don't think LBP is capable of being a Kirby game. As a fun sort-of-parody, it works. But I'd really like to see what you could do with your own imagination!

I've been a Kirby fan since I first got my Gameboy colour, I think. So I was glad when I saw this level. At first, it screamed "Kirby" at me. But as it went on, it went to a mild whisper.
I felt everything was a bit too big (the parasol, sword, etc) and the wheel.. You could have tried much harder, I'm sure. Actually, I think you can try harder with the scenery as well. The best looking were definitely the monsters. One of the beam guys had fallen over, though. It kind of looked like her was having relations with the floor.
Key moments for me was when I got to be rock Kirby (or Sackboy?) as he was always my favorite.. I like not being able to die. The bomb Kirby was also very cute and gave me a good chuckle.
Overall though, I don't think I experienced many errors other than what was mentioned.
Good level, gave it a 4/5 I think.
