Over the Hills and Far Away
Archive: 9 posts
http://lbp.me/v/drnk3p Recommended for one player. Bludhaven nearly killed you, but you have made it back to the mainland. Can you make it over the hills? This shares the title with a psp level I have published, but other than the name, and the opening scene, this is a totally new level created specifically for lbp2 and the ps3. This is another level that I have been working on for more than two years. This is my last level for lbp2. I am saving the rest of my time and ideas for lbpvita. See you there in a month. I will do f4f for anyone who leaves a review. I am leaving to go out of town for work tomorrow, but I will be back Friday. So if I don't get your feedback right away, don't fret. I will. Thanks, and if you have any problems, please let me know. Some pictures. http://i3.lbp.me/img/ft/5c3d88913210d8ff3cb12edc4460300ef1f708b5.jpg http://i3.lbp.me/img/ft/f53ef658ec665cec8a3fa125ca4ed89393bb73a7.jpg http://ie.lbp.me/img/ft/98e27446aac11bb64d0d478fe002ba7972ff2a3a.jpg http://ib.lbp.me/img/ft/8cb8107fac7c68136f00c66f6774365d1a5dff3d.jpg http://i2.lbp.me/img/ft/b3250ffede9c0184a32f2ff6d8466406918d8a3c.jpg http://i3.lbp.me/img/ft/783bb48e88a68e1a5ccc39873d88f4d047962294.jpg http://i6.lbp.me/img/ft/c46f88dd98ec7c38a9a439379d594d59b86e0c76.jpg http://lbp.me/v/drnk3p | 2012-08-12 19:25:00 Author: VelcroJonze Posts: 1305 |

I wish I had a PS3. Is this a remake of your PSP version? | 2012-08-12 20:09:00 Author: unc92sax Posts: 928 |
@ biorogue - Thanks buddy! I hope you like. @ Unc - Hey man!! I wish you had a ps3 too! This was intended to be a port of my psp level, but I started working on this in lbp1 almost two years ago. lol. After all the new power ups came out with lbp2 I changed the entire level design and gameplay mechanics. So this is this is not a remake. The only thing a psp'er might recognize is the opening scene. After that it is an entirely brand new level. | 2012-08-12 20:41:00 Author: VelcroJonze Posts: 1305 |

Really enjoyed this fast-paced platformer. Nice visuals and music, great obstacles, good pacing. And who doesn't like to get threatened by an owl just upon entering a level ;-) I just played Bludhaven too (just too see what the owl was so ****** about): it's got an even more frantic pace. Good stuff. I remember playing the VelcroJonze PSP-levels, and I'll be very interested to see what you'll be doing on the Vita. If you've got time for F4F please try my latest level: Bathouse at the Bottom of the World. | 2012-08-14 06:41:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
A lot of fun! From the pictures I gathered that this would be great and I wasn't wrong. The game-play was fun and it kept me wanting more! It was pacy and it has a fun and enjoyable feel to it. The design was really nice, it was a good blend of materials and a really nice theme. All in all this level was a pleasure to play, if I could suggest anything, it would be to maybe mark out the switches a tiny bit clearer or just to make it longer so I can enjoy more of your work. Well done! If you get the time, here's my level (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=73198-The-Circus-PROLOGUE&p=1033533#post1033533) . | 2012-08-14 18:00:00 Author: craigmond Posts: 2426 |
This was an awesome level! I had a lot of fun trying to grab up as many point bubbles as possible while traversing my way through the level. I gotta say though... trees and owls are jerks. I never did anything to them. Ah well. I can't really offer up any advice regarding trouble spots because the level played well with no real problems. Great work! As for the F4F... If you could check out my Metal Gear Solid thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=72941-Metal-Gear-Sackboy-Unraveling-Stitches) and play through one (or both) of my levels I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm constantly looking for ways to improve my levels so any and all feedback is appreciated. Thanks! | 2012-08-18 18:01:00 Author: Unknown User |
