Free run training

Archive: 5 posts

Hey everyone! I hope some one out there can take a few mins to check this level out for me. It's a kinda free running level; meaning you can run climb and wall jump off of everything (I believe lol). I'm trying to make a action rpg with this character. This is just a tester so you can do what you like to find mess ups and such. The controlls are a little loose at first but become easy to handle after a few mins. The level design (cosmetically at least) isn't much I tired keeping if simple because it's a beta level. Well I hope someone out there gives it a shot. I am only going to promise up to 5 f4f's. My schedule is really random and I usually only pla on the weekends. So I'll get to you this Friday or Saturday. Thanks everyone and I hope you enjoy!!!

P.s.
Sorry for my grammar and that I don't have any pics. They didn't show much and looked horrible lol.

I gave you level a try. It is a bit rough around the edges (you did state that it was a "beta" level). I like the controls actually. They aren't too difficult to master. There were a few areas that you can skip though (the first super jump for sure) so I would rework how their designed. I never could quite get that super jump. I do like the fact that you can choose many different directions and they all seem to end up at the same conclusion. It definitely needs some work but its a good start.

As for the F4F... If you could check out the link to this thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=72941-Metal-Gear-Sackboy-Unraveling-Stitches) I'd appreciate it. There you can find pics and descriptions of my two levels. Feel free to play one (or both) and then give me some feedback. I'm looking to improve them as best I can.

Cheers!

Thanks for playing my level and I'm gonna check out yours by this weekend. When you said rough around the edges did you mean how the level looked? Or was it something else? I'm gonna change the super jump because unless you play it over and over it is a pain to master lol. Some parts of the level I designed so that you can skip them lol. I wanted to get the player to explore and find their own way in my real game im working on. I was using the beta as a way to get the player to do this. Thanks for your feedback and I can't wait to play your levels.2012-08-09 12:19:00

Yeah, I was referring to the look of the level... But again, you stated that this was more of a test level rather than a finished product. The control of the sackbot was good and to restate my thoughts, the ability to explore and still reach the desired finish was cool.

Well first of all i'd like you to know I sucked at it so I got frustrated and quit so this review will not go to the end of the level.

Anyways the controls seemed to work well. All of the ninja skills seemed easy enough to use. But somewhat hard to master. I liked how well the wall jump worked and how no matter how hard I tried I couldn't just scale 1 wall. All of the parkour moves seemed to work so good job on that. All in the level from what I could tell had no glitches and I can't wait to see what you do with it.

Ps: F4F this
