Hey guys. I present you my newest platformer level 'Waterfall Ruins'. The difficult is: easy-average. There are some beautiful sceneries and visuals. I hope you enjoy! Have fun! why no one comment? this is a beautiful level pyro! loved the beauty of it and the gameplay was good as well. You did a great job in the extra background layers adding more depth to the visuals. Ok, here's some feedback Pyro! *A preliminar note in my reviews: You may see that "The Grades" I give at the end of my review can be the same than the grades of a "different quality" level. I usually adapt my grades in order to be fair according to the creator experience, and as it seems you have an LBPC Community Spotlighted level I may seem to be tougher in my grading. Preview To be honest, I didn't love the badge. The circumference that surround it is nice and colorful, but inside it there's nothing that cathches one's attention. I felt the description was a bit too short but still good. Right when you enter the level, you know this is awesome. The attention to detail specially is pretty incredible. Level Ok, I was struggling and forcing my mind to find a single bad designed obstacle, a single mistake/bug. I could not find it. Even if the level is graphic-oriented, the gameplay is pretty awesome and fun, and with such quality in the design, you can have lots of fun while watching the awesomeness of the detail in the scenario. http://if.lbp.me/img/ft/b4f9d66563b58e8e615a4c089fe0e061198e929c.jpg Ohhhhh shiny! The gameplay wasn't realted to one theme, and it wasn't the most innovative thing I've seen, still it is greatly designed, with an average difficulty and it was fun. I would have liked the level to have a story, such an awesome character that says 2 nonsense lines could have been used better. I liked that you included secret bubbles, and the score bubbles are greatly positioned so that you can make combos. To be honest, I wasn't terribly impressed by this level. It's not a bad level, but it's unimpressive and fairly generic. The only part of the level that was genuinely unique would be the totem thing towards the beginning, and I think it would of been better if you kept that style rather than creating a generic nature platformer. The visuals aren't horrible, but they are a bit bland, messy and uninspired, although how you used the cacti was a bit ugly. I'm sure you could do better than just having a line of cacti. The gameplay itself is similar; there's nothing unique about it, but it's decently done if a tad boring. There are a couple of camera issues here and there but there's nothing too major. There's really nothing else to say. It's a paint-by-numbers platformer with only one unique bit. Okay, time for my review. Firstly, the level itself is a bit repetitive at times. However, I like this type of creating, so never fear. I also love the 3D effects, very well done it really adds to the level. It was also pretty cool how you made the point bubbles look like apples. In some way bonner123 already pointed out my thoughts of this level. See, when I came to this thread I had a look at the screenshots and was fairly amazed by the ancient totem. So I queued the level. Unfortunately I was a bit sisappointed by the fact that there was only one totem because I expexted cool gameplay climbing on limbs and faces of even more coloured statues! Anyway, the level looks good and has a nice athmosphere, completed by clever gameplay. The backlayer waterfalls surely were eyecandy and I liked collecting "fruits" instead of bubbles. ![]() By the way, it's dangerous to create mere nature platformers these days because it has become a bit too trendy! From the start of the level the beginning area looked really good and gave me an idea what to see throughout the rest of the level. I liked the scenary work you did with the level it looked pretty good but in my opinion I think you need to work on the corner editing a bit more. Some of the edges were bit to sharp looking and could look bit better. The music fitted the level pretty good, went with the atmosphere well. Overall the gameplay was okay pretty original and a bit short but all still turned out great.
