Broken Woods [Plateformer]

Hello everybody, i'm posting my first level in this epic forum!

It's a side scrolling plateformer, the camera is moving so don't go out the cam or you will die.
This level is a bit challenging, so don't be to rude if you die many time.

This is my very first plateformer level, i made it in 1 week!

I hope you'll love it as much as i during the creation process!

Just played this level and adored it.

The constantly moving camera adds a nice balance of difficulty and challenge. The visuals are vibrant and it's clear where the paths are. The rewards (including occassional bonus bubbles of 1000 points) are fun to try and get...

I dunno lol - it's great! Good fun, well put together and a good length. Good work!

Just a few things I'd say for improvement:

Perhaps consider tightening up the range on some of the attracto-gel. Sometimes, the attraction range is so wide that you sort of get 'caught in its clutches', and it can feel a little nasty when the camera slips by you whilst you're wrestlling with it.

Also, be wary of possible spawnkills - that is, times when the player automatically dies as soon as they respawn. It didn't happen to me much, but you could prevent it by telling the checkpoint where the 'safe zones' are. So maybe having an impact zone on any place a player can respawn, and only having the checkpoint active at that point? I'm not sure, haven't tested it tbh.

Even with the occasional spawnkill though, excellent work, really well done!

Oh thanks for the feedback, i'm happy you love playing this level.

I know the spawn has to be improved, and i'm working on it, i want to give a little help after we spawn.

But i'm really happy you love my work, this is my first plateformer, and seems like players like to play it <3

to fix spaw kill in my opinion not totally understanding how your logic on the level works i would suggest having a wooden box with the checkpoint inside folowing the course like the check point now and when it reaches a "Safe Zone" have a tag say a red tag put on the safe zone and have a red tag sensor on the box with a pretty wide range which senses the tag, releasing sackboy by two rotating "doors" at the floor of the box made by two identical peices of material with wobble bolt set to Rotation 180, Angle 270, and Time set to .5 At least that is what could possibly help on spawn kill. Like i said this is in my opinion because your logic could interfear with this but play around with it for a while. See what works and what doesn't also shrink the detection range on the atracto-gel a small amount like stated above.Overall it is a good level That needs to be made into a versus level to help with my respawn logic. I cant make a things of this size, cause my thermo is kinda full, i try to make a logic that make spawn a grabbable (sorry if its not a word) object right after you respawn, so you can chose where you landing. But the systeme isn't complete yet.

Thanks for loving this level, i really enjoy creating it, and put my heart in the design.

I'm so happy the level give you some fun.

By the way i'm gonna update it with a new spawn point, just workin' on some details.
