Option for "Shared Screens" or "Independent Screens"
Archive: 10 posts
I want the options to either have "shared screens" or to have "independent screens" I think this option is in LBP VITA,so why not bring it to LBP2 on ps3? Shared screens: Each player has to be in ONE screen. There are no separate screens. Independent screens: Each player has their own screens. No need to share one screen. I know we have the independent screens in LBP2,but that's only for VERSUS mode. It would be awesome to have any screen mode,no matter what game type it is. What do you guys think? | 2012-08-04 20:53:00 Author: SackBoy98 Posts: 588 |
Shared screen... I know the last thing I'd want is to be at the end of a level and have someone I'm playing on-line with only half way just standing around slapping the air for 10 minutes if you understand what I mean! | 2012-08-06 17:10:00 Author: Chris---Kristy Posts: 83 |
Excellent idea. I think it's quite stupid that all cooperative levels require all players to share the same screen. | 2012-08-10 17:56:00 Author: BIGGamerer Posts: 182 |
Sounds good to me, instead of it being based off the level type it could easily just be another option right below it. | 2012-08-11 18:39:00 Author: Tynz21 Posts: 544 |

Independent screens would be the best thing that MM could do. I hate being in a level trying to collect items or look at things and the other players just run through it like their sack is on fire and running full speed is the only thing that will put it out. I end up dying trying to appreciate the hard work people put into their levels. Some levels are built with distant separations being ever possible. Drop offs, elevators without the "require all players", super fast bounce pad setups that separate players on a regular basis. All are quite annoying and could easily be eliminated as a problem if each player had their own screen. | 2012-08-15 17:06:00 Author: Unknown User |

And sometimes it is the opposite, being you want to rush through a level while others are customizing even though they have already done so in the pod. | 2012-08-16 04:30:00 Author: Cronos Dage Posts: 396 |
I agree. I do think it should be an option (player preference) for sacks trying to collect items/stickers or view something in a level. Perhaps host preference? | 2012-08-16 15:41:00 Author: Unknown User |
LittleBigPlanet Vita does have this option. It's going to be in the game when it's released. LBP2 on the otherhand has yet to implement a system like this. Maybe with the cross-controller dlc we'll see some new settings for something along these lines. In the end, it doesn't bother me because I hate not being able to play multiplayer levels locally because everyone designs them for online play with their own screen. There needs to be something that tells a player if it's designed for online or local play -_- For those who are interested, the option is available when you create your own level. You can set it to not share screens in coop levels if my memory's correct. The real reason this isn't implemented is for local/online play. Levels are designed to support both. What if you're playing locally with your best friend AND online with 2 guys? Then only 2 players are stuck in local screen while the others can run around free? How do you get people to finish the level when you're done? All these things were done for reasons. Therefore it woudn't actually be the best thing to add to the PS3 version of this game at all. There would be too many problems. | 2012-08-16 23:07:00 Author: Nick930930 Posts: 878 |
