An official "hello"

Archive: 12 posts

I've been with LBPCentral a week and it dawned on me just now that I never really introduced myself... I just sorta dived right in. So... Hello LBPCentral! I decided to join up here so I could get some tips and tricks for LBP and hopefully get my levels some much needed love and attention. I've been working with LBP2 for about a month and never built a level prior to that (although I did Ace nearly all of LBP1 I never got around to the creation bit of the game). I'm still getting the hang of the more complex logic so I apologize if areas of my levels are a bit awkward. I'm constantly revising them as I (and you all) test them out.
Well, I suppose that's enough for now.
Oh, and thank you Lady_Luck__777 for editing my first few posts... I'm fairly new to the world of forums and my forum etiquette isn't quite up to par... I'm just glad that this site has a button for "Reply With Quote"... I couldn't find it over at the official LBP Karting Beta forum.
Cheers!

Thanks guys for the warm welcome and words of encouragement... I've discovered very quickly that this site is very useful for sifting through the six and a half million (mostly junk) Community levels... I've played many great levels that I wouldn't have found otherwise.2012-08-05 03:48:00

Hi there, well since you've been here for a little bit I want go into my normal spiel..just kidding, here it is:

Howdy and welcome to LBPC. So glad you joined. This is really a great place to be. It's an awesome place to make new friends, learn techniques and tricks and just to have a good time. To help you explore the site I'll provide a few links for you.

The Level Showcase (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?40-Level-Showcase) area is the place you want to go to make a thread about your level. We have an optional F4F (feedback for feedback) system where you tell others to check out your level, come back and give feedback/suggestions and you'll do the same for them. It's a valuable system that is underused here. Be sure to use the LBP.me tool (the white bell in a blue box icon) http://www.lbpcentral.com/images/lbpme.png this will pull your level info from LBP.me and place it in the thread for you.
Spotlights (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/content.php?124-Community-Content) -- In the mood to play some awesome member levels? This is the place to go. We're currently on episode 90!
Help (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?126-LBP2-Help%21) and Tutorials (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?127-LBP2-Tutorials) --Need help with a LBP issue? Check out our extensive tutorial library and help sections. We have tons of extremely knowledgeable members who are more than happy to help out.

That's all for now. In the mean time, have fun and enjoy your time here. If you need anything, please feel free to ask.

I do have one question that maybe you guys could help me out with... how do I get an image of my badge that I can post and link to my levels? I saw them in a few posts (Cloud Rock Falls (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=72850-Cloud-Rock-Falls-2-The-Discovery-(1P-Platformer)) for example). I sorta ran a few quick searches but came up with nothing...
Oh, and are any submarine tutorials that you might recommend?

EDIT:
Never mind on the Badge bit... I figured it out on my own. I'm still in need of a good submarine tutorial though... I ran a few searches but everything was either too complicated for my needs or to simplified to execute what I need done...
