Non-Stick Material

Is there any way to destroy Non-Stick Materials in LBP2? I've tried several designs, but all have to stick to the target object.2012-08-02 07:19:00

im assuming for whatever reason a destroyer is out of the question. (could you elaborate a little more?) what about good old explosives? , they are always fun!2012-08-02 09:13:00

Ok for starters lets create an object. It is non-stick, and indestructible. Thus nothing can stick to it making the ridged connection of a sticky destroyer projectile useless. The indestructible object is also impervious to explosives...

so the only way I've found to basically nullify the non-stick object is to create a way to pin it to one place using projectiles that emit a dark/white matter that are impervious to the ridged connection destroyers.

More or less I want to know if I can make something (logically) that can negate the chip that makes the object non-stick and make it normal or sticky. If there is any way to destroy this object I'd like to know.

well the only ways i can think of destroying material, in its simplest form is to either, blow it up, use a destroyer, crush it, bring it out of the map, or lbp's physics engine bugging out. cant blow it up, possibly crush it (even if indestructible) but not reliable, if its a physical object cant bring it out of the map. i don't think it is (reliably) possible.2012-08-02 10:52:00

Why not just put a destroyer connected to an impact/tag sensor on the object? It is then a simple matter of activating the matching tag or colliding projectile with matching tag with the object.
Sounds like you're trying to over complicate things.

Another way to negate the sticky effects is use a 2 port selector. Wire the first port to your material tweaker making it non-stick, and the second port to another material tweaker set to sticky/destructable or whatever you need. Then all you'd need is something to trigger the ports to switch, such as an impact sensor. Otherwise I don't see why frogmeister's suggestion of using a destroyer wouldn't work, material properties have no apparent effect on the function of one.2012-08-02 14:25:00

This is more or less a combat scenario. Lets say someone else has a vehicle that is indestructible and non-stick, thus I can't kill it (by any means I know of so far)

I'd like to know if I can kill another contraption that someone else made. Logically I can't interfere with the logic they have made for their own device. I'd like to know if I can kill this contraption with a bug or glitch, because smashing, exploding and sticky destroyers won't work.

I understand logic quite well, I've made several devices that do everything and much, much more than everyone has suggested (to the extent that my PS3 freezes).

Note: I'm not making a single contraption to take out itself, but a contraption that will take out someone else's device (which would be invincible and non-stick)

what about using the merge tool to get something inside of it? and try and break it that way?2012-08-03 01:52:00

I'm not familiar with the merge tool, it may work. I'll check it out, and get back to you.2012-08-03 08:12:00

I made a machine that emits a huge fist decoration, with a big piece of metal hidden in it. On it, i placed a microchip with 50 movers, all moving at the same speed and in the same direction. Crushes everything that isn't dark matter or 100% dampened.2012-08-05 12:46:00
