This is a puzzler level. You need platforming skill and problem solving skill. Above all else you need two players.

I checked it out... Very creative! The design of the level is imaginative and very engaging. The puzzles are a bit challenging and do require very precise gameplay. This can cause quite the build up of frustration at times. The rose garden was very tricky... There were a few trouble spots where we got squished in the bushes... I imagine that wasn't the intent. Also, I strongly recommend that you tweak the hiding spot by the upper left mushroom in that area... Getting out and over that mushroom to safety was extremely difficult and resulted in more frustration. I also think that once you activate the second checkpoint in the rose garden the other checkpoint should be destroyed to avoid accidental reactivation... We struggled to avoid that several times. Once in the next room we got stumped with the key and grappling hook... We finally succumbed to the hunger in our bellies and thus exited the level. Don't get me wrong though, the level was awesome. I'd like to provide more tips on where our problem areas where but its hard to describe without actually showing you the spots.

Oh, and the jumping point bubbles wereAWESOME!!!

Forever made a very good post that I agree with. The environment and the way you used the layer glitch was excellent. Felt like I was walking in a whimsical, magical forest. The jumping bubbles were a clever idea. The gameplay could get frustating at times. Sometimes I didn't know what killed me. Some of the thorns and things that killed me were hidden too well and were hard to see. I didn't understand the question marks. Did they give hints and tips? I couldn't figure at how to activiate them to see what they did. I think giving a clearer idea of what to do and where to go will help a lot. Maybe making brighter colors on the areas you are supposed to go to make it stand out more. I don't want to focus on the negatvies I found because you made a very good game. I think making the game easier will help though.

Thanks guys! I have taken your advice. In the spot at the end of the rose garden I made it so the lower life gate will not reactivate if you fall, and fixed that spot by the upper left mushroom button. I also have the cat explain to put a sticker on the (?) signs to show the hints.2012-08-04 03:53:00
