Obviously this is a prime example of people not knowing a **** thing about what they are doing.

PS3 can register BlueTooth devices. Laptops can too.

PS3 uses BT, but is not a BT device. Neither is a Laptop. They search, not signal.

A PS3 Remote uses BT. It is a BT device. It cannot receive BT signals. It cannot process anything.

Dunno about controllers, probably radio/RC or something. To stop lag and stuff by cluttering the airwaves.

BT device to BT device can only work in rare specific circumstances, if at all. E.g. A headset is designed to send and receive with a medium, otherwise it would not work. However, a PS3 remote sends info, but does not receive to function properly. So don't assume, just think.

The laptop is a communications device, since it's IT. A PS3 is not meant to do a PC's job, and as such is not IT. So it receives, but does not send. It can send a request signal to stream content, but the OS systems are too different/not intended to co-op, so a PS3 does not send data.

Best bet is to use "Internal Memory Cards" which are also used in Video Cameras and such, which are compatible with most laptops and PCs as SD Memory cards. There should be a SD slot somewhere on the PS3, although I haven't found it yet.

You can't pickup Laptops.

Media Servers are a completely different thing, so completely ignore those.

Just export them to the HDD, and copy them to a USB stick or whatever.

I think some laptops can connect remotely using bluetooth to another laptop, for example. I don't know all the details though, but I think it should be theoretically possible to do this. As I said though, I have never tried to do this myself.

USB keys are quite cheap, especially for small ones with only a few megabytes in them. Although it's an extra cost, you can use a USB for file transfers between other things, as well as backing up information.

Some "MP3" style players can be used like a USB key, and many portable back up devices use USB connections. This could be another way as well if you have something like this.

At the moment the image size that the game exports to the hard drive is very small, like 320x200 or something. You would not be able to, say expand it to be the background of your desktop without either using a software program to upscale the image (and it still may look bad). You might not have been aware of this point. I don't think MM have said anything official about having some sort of higher resolution image capture avaliable in game at the moment.

Another option is to take an image from your screen or TV. Depending on what you project your PS3 through though, and the quality of your camera, this may not produce as clean a result, but it will likely be at a higher resolution.

Hope this all helps.

You can.

I used a wireless network, and my PS3 found my laptop under media servers.
I could easily copy a pic to my PC then.
Though you need a player like windows media Player.

all you have to do is...

1. select your LBP picture in-game.
2. copy it to your HDD
3. quit the game
4. copy that picture to a USB stick or other transport device
5. plug that transport device in to your laptop
6. DONE and enjoy, from here you can come up to this site and upload it to the gallery as a LBP Screenshot.

Cheers!
