DLC Question..

Archive: 13 posts

Hey everyone..

I just have a small question.. If I already purchased and downloaded a DLC pack from the LBP Store, can I download it again on a different PS3 with the same account? I ask this because I'm on vacation and have a different PS3. Before I left on vacation, I published my level. A few days ago I realized that my level has 3 bugs that render the level unplayable when a bug occurs.. Problem is, the level has a bunch of DLC that I don't have on this PS3, which means I can't fix the bugs until I get back from vacation, which is in 2 WEEKS..

Does anyone know the answer to my question, or knows a way around my problem? Any help will be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

I believe buying DLC allows you to download that DLC to five different PS3s, so you should be able to find everything you've bought in your downloads list. 2012-07-30 19:33:00

I think it is now only two PS3s, to prevent you from sharing an account with a friend, but I think you can always disable the account on that PS3 afterward, so all the dlc will not work anymore on the "vacation ps3", and this ps3 will no longer count. Go on playstation.com to be sure.2012-07-30 20:46:00

If you probably have the same account you use on your home ps3 on your vacation ps3, then all the data from the home ps3 should go to the vacation ps3. All I know is that all your DLC from your main accounts go to your sub accounts.2012-07-30 21:19:00

Yes. I went on vacation and rented a PS3, set up the same username I use on my home PS3 and went to this website https://account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com and registered the rented PS3. Oila, all my DLC was available to redownload from the PSN store. (you have to go to purchase history). At the end of vacation, I took that PS3 off the list, deleted everything off of the PS3, not before backing up profile to USB first, and returned to rental store.2012-07-30 22:28:00

Okay... DLC Question #2 .. I had LBP1 Game of the Year Edition.. Which has Metal Gear Solid included.. Is it possible to get that DLC on my other PS3 as well? I don't have the LBP1 game with me though :/2012-07-31 00:25:00

Nice once... I'm not sure about that, but I know it says I purchased the MGS pack if I look at the LBP2's store. Perhaps copying the LBP1 data would help? Not sure at all, and I don't have two PS3s to test. But if it's just for the paint itself, I know a way to make paint without the MGS pack

Yeah, I discovered it a while ago, projectiles from LBP2 share data with the paint, so using some tricks with a creatinator, I created paint with the electricity projectile. You can go play the free paint level on my moon if you want it, the only downside is that this paint is bigger than the MGS paint, so shrinking it to the same size will make it seem quite thick.

But if it's because you used the paintinator and materials, sorry. Can't help you

Thanks Pivott! But, I used stickers from the MGS pack in my level, so I won't be able to do anything I guess.

Yes, that is what I did with my other DLC.. But the MGS DLC came from the LBP1 disk, which I don't have with me.

OR you could put in the same disk in the other PS3.

And for the 3rd time, I don't have the disk with me.
