Sackbot = Sackboy

Hi all, I absolutely need yours help. I'd like to make a sackbot like a real sackboy for my level, but I haven't understood how can i make it. Can you help me? I hope this is the right section xD2012-07-25 21:38:00

Your Sackbot wants to be a real Sackboy? Has it tried wishing upon a star?


I don't entirely understand what you're asking, are you talking about mimicing players costumes, or are you talking about getting it to navigate an environment properly?

I agree with Ostler. Or do you want the player to control the sackbot and make the sackbot have super powers? There is a million tuts on that.2012-07-25 22:07:00

Making a sackbot look like a sackboy: Set animation type to "sackboy" (default is sackbot) so he walks and acts closely to a player sackboy. Then open costume settings and choose the costume you want, or for a default sackboy just go to skins and select the skin you want.

Making a sackbot act like a sackboy: You can choose different behaviors, like follow player or tag, patrol (wander around) or record animations for it.

Making a sackbot look like a player character: There's an option in the sackbot menu which allows it to copy a player's costume. You can choose a player number or to copy the player that is connected to the sackbot by any means.

Using a sackbot to replace the player's sackboy: The easiest way is to connect a DCS to a piece of holo and set it to follow the sackbot. Then place another DCS inside the bot's microchip, and you can wire the first DCS outputs directly into the bot's DCS inputs. You can even change buttons or add another features, like super powers, with extra logic.
