Save and Love Nature!

We all know that our Earth will die if we continue with our lifestyle made by waste, pollution and more. So I've decided to make this level when I show what we should do to improve Earth's condition. I hope you'll enjoy with this level and tell me some suggestion to improve the level (I hope I haven't made any grammar error xD) http://lbp.me/v/4kjwbp | 2012-07-25 19:31:00 Author: dante3vergil Posts: 43 |

You did pretty good decorating this level, i especially loved the part where you start, in the sunflower field (with the yellow bubbly thingies flying in the air). Gameplaywise, the level has a few flaws. The forest fire part is skippable. You can simply run past it. Also, at the industry part, you can simply walk on the floor in front of the industry, and skip half of the building. Also, the cutscenes are a little too long.. No-one takes 10 seconds to read one line of text. Fix these flaws and it should be a lot better! For F4F, could you leave some feedback on the top level in my signature? Thanks. | 2012-07-28 11:39:00 Author: Deurklink1 Posts: 346 |

First of all, thank you for playing But do you know how can i prevent this? Maybe I could put invisible material, but it would be too confused... Of course I will play your level! Can you tell me how can I make that level's tag for my own levels? Thank you | 2012-07-28 22:21:00 Author: dante3vergil Posts: 43 |

The Earth won't die. Just saying. I don't think so... While we talk, the glaciers are melting, the forests are being destroyed... And if I wanted to, I could continue for a long time.. | 2012-07-29 10:18:00 Author: dante3vergil Posts: 43 |
This is a very pretty level. You made very good use of emitters and decorations here. I especially love the part where you jump on the dock and the birds fly away, very clever! One complaint I have is you can enter an area where the movie camera takes over multiple times, making the player wait it out. You can solve this by making the camera activate with - player sensor -> counter (1) -> camera. The counter will only fill once, not letting the camera activate a second time. (or just have the camera destory itself after the cutscene) Please check out my Geometry Wars Galaxies and let me know what you think. Thanks! | 2012-07-29 13:52:00 Author: Turkeyntz Posts: 88 |
The Earth won't die. Just saying. The sun is only expected to last 9 billion years, and it's about 4.5 billion years old already.. It will cool before it dies, freezing the earth, making us a dead planet. Just saying. | 2012-07-29 13:55:00 Author: Turkeyntz Posts: 88 |

Wow your lack of knowledge about the fate of the sun is astounding. The sun will expand as it cools, roasting the Earth alive. What i meant was Humans would have to do something far more drastic than burning fossil fuels in order to destroy all life on Earth. I don't think so... While we talk, the glaciers are melting, the forests are being destroyed... And if I wanted to, I could continue for a long time.. Except that isnt killing the planet, that's changing it; and if there is one thing organisms are good at, it's adapting. | 2012-07-30 12:23:00 Author: Kern Posts: 5078 |
Political and scientific debates above lol I'll try this level and review it when I can sounds cool. Except that isnt killing the planet, that's changing it; and if there is one thing organisms are good at, it's adapting. Eh, funny you'd use the word change, we are indeed using up a lot of natural resources rather quickly, within the next century we're probably going to need to find alternatives to energy, but that isn't for a while. I don't think anyone can say what's going to happen to the human race in the next couple hundred years, it's up in the air. | 2012-07-30 14:37:00 Author: RakasaPlus Posts: 136 |

I don't think anyone can say what's going to happen to the human race in the next couple hundred years, it's up in the air. It's not really the place to debate it. There's no doubt we're using up the resources and etc, but what this level is suggesting is that if we dont stop ALL LIFE will be wiped out. Which is foolish. | 2012-07-30 15:14:00 Author: Kern Posts: 5078 |

Well you were just debating here just a little bit ago, I just wanted to add my two cents and be off . And I wouldn't take it too seriously, I feel bad because I think we should humor naive ideals when they don't hurt anybody. @ Topic Save this spot for review | 2012-07-30 16:24:00 Author: RakasaPlus Posts: 136 |
All politics aside, I thought it was a fun level with a unique theme... but it would have been nice if it was maybe a little longer. Though it was simple, the raft part was really well done, and it would have been nice to have a task here, whether it's cleaning the oil, saving whales, etc. I agree with what was said above about the movie scenes. By the time you read the text bubble and it vanishes, you're stuck there for a few seconds. It's not major, but it's an awkward pause. If you get time, I'd love a play/feedback on the Celestial Clock Tower (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=72136-Frozen-in-Time-The-Celestial-Clock-Tower-the-afterlife-awaits!) level in my sig, and this link is to the thread here. Even if you don't finish (understandable, it's open-ended and can take an hour), I'd love any feedback =) | 2012-07-30 20:57:00 Author: Unknown User |
First of all, thank you for playing But do you know how can i prevent this? Maybe I could put invisible material, but it would be too confused... Of course I will play your level! Can you tell me how can I make that level's tag for my own levels? Thank you You can make a picture, then to the left of the place where you set the level name, there's a small circle. There you can select a picture you can use for the level. Also, to prevent a player from moving into a back layer, you can place a piece of thin hologram. Set it to 0% brightness so it becomes invisible in play mode. Then use the plasma tool on it, turning it dangerous. Then tweak it to turn the sound off. Now there's an invisible wall, which the player cannot see or hear, and because it's dangerous, the player will not automatically pass through it. Also, because it's thin layer, it won't kill the player. I use this a lot in my levels, especially when i make backgrounds which i don't want the player to accidentally jump into. | 2012-07-31 22:18:00 Author: Deurklink1 Posts: 346 |
Thank you all for all those suggestions! I'll play yours levels but I will be rarely at home this month, so I won't play immediately . | 2012-08-02 21:23:00 Author: dante3vergil Posts: 43 |
It was an excellent message in an easy and fun package. I skimmed a few of the messages below (didn't want to get political) and I think for the forest fire part you could use a long and thin piece of dark matter that you can shrink until its invisible. Attack a destroyer tool to it that will activate when the trees are put out. On a side note, I think that murdering the factory workers is a bit harsh... I mean, I doubt that they themselves are evil polluters... I'm sure that they work there to earn a paycheck which can in turn put food on the tables for their families. When you encourage the merciless murder of these individuals you've got to consider the orphaned children and the widowed wives back at home. I say switch them out for robots... Destroying robots doesn't conflict with the "love nature" theme of the level.. Oh, and even after the factory was shut down the water was still polluted... Maybe you could attach a destroyer tool to the polluted water that activates when the switch is pulled and an emitter that emits a fresh "water" lake there in its place. Just an idea. As for the F4F... Please take a look at one (or both) of my levels listed below. I'd greatly appreciate any questions, comments, and/or concerns. Thanks!
