How to make the camera follow the sackbot you're controlling

I'm new here and not sure if there is a tutorial for this but I was wondering how to do this recently but couldn't find any results. The few I did fine mentioned using game cameras, but I figure out another way.
Step1:
Start out with a sackbot and a piece of hologram.

Step 2:
Add a controllinator to the sackbot and set it as a receiver. (I used a Blue tag)

Step 3:
Add a controlinator to the hologram piece and set it as transmitter, and use the same tag you used for the sackbot

Step 4:
Set a tag on the sackbot that is a different color than the tag you used for the controllinators(I used yellow)

Step 5:
Place a follower on the hologram with the same tag you used on the sackbot from the previous step. Increase the followers maximum speed to 100%, allow in-and-out movement, increase strength to 100%, and decrease minimum detection range to 0%.

Step 6:
Select the entire hologram piece and press square to tweak it. Under colors select "Set to player color" which will make the hologram and the player "disappear" when playing in create mode. The camera will be following you and the sackbot when playing in play mode.

You could just attach a tag to your sackbot. Create a piece of invisible holo/sticker panel. Stick a microchip on in with the camera, and a follower set to follow the tag on your sackbot. I think this is a simpler method, and will probably allow for more flexibility.2012-07-25 13:48:00

There is a copyable level with a holo/sp setup that works pretty much the way you need. Though I think the setup is the simpler method described in the previous post.

To study it and other logic tips, do a text search for "logic for creator". That's close to the name of their LBP1 logic level, but you can use that to access their planet and get to the LBP2 version with the sackbot and other tips.

If somebody else's memory is better, they might be able to add more precise info.

You said to use a different color for the tag. Actually, you can use the same one, controllinators only send signals to controllinators and so on. Plus you can give a name to the tag.2012-07-30 16:27:00

i agree with pivott. it's really sad to be honest. it's basic and this tutorial just screwed it up. idk how you made it work with different color tag. (or you just hid it and pranked the people who don't know much about logic) Im not saying i hate this, im saying it could use some work...2012-07-30 21:10:00
