Free To Play MMORPG's

Archive: 24 posts

Tired of paying for WOW subscriptions? Just looking for a fun MMORPG to paly that won't kill your bank account? I found just that i think. I had been looking for something since WOW takes up to much money and space on my computer. I found this amazing website.
http://www.gameogre.com/freemmorpgs.htm
All MMO's listed on the page are FREE TO PLAY!!!!!!
I personally have been playing Perfect World, and i must say i'm addicted. It reminds me of WOW without the subscriptions, and all the memory it takes up. The layout and skill and classes feel similar and it's awesome. I recommend it highly, if you make an account search for me TerryTate, or kmills11. Happy grinding!

I used to play Rubies of Eventide. It was fun, but it had a max of like, 30 players per server. There were 3 servers, and they were rarely full. So you KNOW that the game certainly isn't MASSIVELY multiplayer.2009-01-09 01:47:00

I've been wanting to play an FTPMMO that has a good battle system, not just clicking on an enemy and watching the dudes exchange kicks.

Dofus was good, but the limit put on non-subscribers put me off.

I used to play Wow on and off, but due to my addictive personality (or me just being a tard) I kept staying up all night and being late for work etc... Losing my job. I'm done with that game any how, the real reason I'm posting is because before Wow I played a game called Tibia (http://www.Tibia.com), its 2d MMORPG, not sure what its like now, but it kept me busy a while back when I was bored and had no money.2009-01-09 17:11:00

I do not think any of these run on a Mac so i would need extra equipment and software that i do not have to play any of these.

Cheers!

Free-Realms MMO coming out on pc and PS3 sounds like it might be interesting. It's probably still a long ways off, but at least it's free, and hopefully will be fun.2009-01-12 23:08:00

Um, have you seen the demo at CES? It looks way too kiddy for me. You're a pixie with wings and all! And there are coffee shops! Coffee shops shouldn't be in MMOs! Plus, if there are multiple accounts on the PS3 you have to pay moolah.

Nope, I haven't seen that. Hmm,, it sounds like something that my wife would enjoy more than me, but we'll see, lol. I'll look that demo up though, thanks.

Stop with all your procrastinating, you know you wanna!

Here comes the pitch.

*All in a salesman advertisement voice*
You wanna play a game thats free AND fun? Of course you do! You like the people on this forum RIIIIGHT? YEH! So do the smart thing and play Maple Story.
This game is fast pace fun exciting WHATEVER. Just awesome. You heard LFF! You want a game with a good battle system. Well with maplestory you decide what to attack, the attack you use and when to use it! No more clicking and then mindless swinging, now you can execute an attack with an assigned hotkey. All attacks take roughly a second to execute so YOU HAVE THE CHOICE. Sick of GOOOOLD? Want a currency with a wacky name? MESOS! WooooaaaaooaoaAOOAAOOAoaoAOAOAOAH! Come play maplestory, the ONLY way! *Upbeat jingle*

Seriously, its awesome.

It's honestly better than any other free MMORPG, and that's a fact. Google it.

Plus, like 10 people here on the forums are playing it. You might as well.

Maplestory is a good F2P game indeed ... just beware that its addicting ... and you may be tempted to buy NX-cash if youre not careful ... ( like me lol - regretted it because those clothes only stay for a number of days ... *sigh*) ...

Lots of people say Guild Wars is good ... never tried it myself
