Camera Help for My Pinball Game ( Explained Better)
Archive: 9 posts
In my pinball game, i have the camera following the ball. Thats how i want it until my multiball feature is activated, Than i want it to zoom out so the whole table is viewable than switch back to the ball follow camera once the extra ball is lost. I've come to be pretty good at logic as i just started creating about 2 months ago but for the life of me, I can not figure this out. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much! | 2012-07-23 17:03:00 Author: curtislarkin Posts: 157 |
Use a 2 port selector, wire the default cam to output 1 and the multiball trigger to output 2. Use a NOT gate from output 2 to input 1. Will default to the normal cam when mutiball is not active and will switch when it is, will also work multiple times for longer games. | 2012-07-23 20:44:00 Author: Unknown User |
The camera is on the ball which comes out of an emitter. Wiring anything to the main ball would be pointless as i have to put it in the emitter. | 2012-07-23 23:24:00 Author: curtislarkin Posts: 157 |
You can make it wireless. Attach unique tags to the selector switch, which can then be used to activate which camera you want, even if the ball and attached camera are emitted. | 2012-07-23 23:26:00 Author: Brannayen Posts: 438 |
Ok, I got it working now i have another issue. Both balls are out on the table at once. The original ball is lost first and switches back to the launcher while the multiball is still active. How can i prevent the camera from switching back to the launcher untill both balls are lost? | 2012-07-24 07:41:00 Author: curtislarkin Posts: 157 |
im having ahard time describing how to do it but tag sensors have an option to look for multiple keys, could use that or use 2 different color keys and an or/and/or xor gate depending on your needs to choose the selector port with the appropriate camera. ill make what you need today and post a screen of it | 2012-07-24 12:51:00 Author: Unknown User |
well thanks for that. ill be waiting for ya | 2012-07-24 14:00:00 Author: curtislarkin Posts: 157 |
ok now i have some coffee in me lemme see if i can explain, there was way too much going on to make a decent screen of it. the emitted ball will have a green tag on it, multiballs have an orange. use a 2 port selector. make a square of invisible hologram and put a follower on it, set the follower to follow the green tag with max radius and 0 minimum radius, speed of 20 or so and strength of 100%. then place a camera on the hologram, wire output 1 of the selector to the holo camera. take orange tag sensor and wire it to input 2 of the selector and give it max radius. then make a 2nd orange tag sensor with max radius and invert it, copy it and change the color to green. So now you should have 2 orange sensors, one inverted the other not and a green inverted sensor. wire the inverted green and orange sensors to an AND gate and place in input 1 of the selector. take your max zoom cam and wire it to the output 2 of the selector. The way it'll work is the invisible follower will chase the ball keeping the camera on the ball at all times, unless an orange tag is active. When the orange tag becomes active the selector switches to the table cam and will stay there until it does not detect and orange and green tag on the table anymore, inverting the 2nd sensors makes it wait until both balls have been destroyed before switching back to the main cam. I can just build you the **** thing if you want, took me all of 5 minutes to make but if you want to make it yourself that is about the best i can explain it. | 2012-07-24 17:57:00 Author: Unknown User |
