TiltWorks is a platforming level with a twist: every obstacle in this level is affected by the tilting motions of your controller! Starts off simple, and ends with an epic boss fight. Better loosen up those wrists!

EDIT: Most of the obstacles are available in prize bubbles, scattered throughout the level. If you want to take a look at the logic, or if you want to use them in your level, go ahead ^^

Hey there sackfolks! Today, i present you my newest level: Tiltworks! This is by far the best level i have ever created, so i hope you guys enjoy it too! The description really says everything you need to know, so i'll end this post with some pictures:

wow!! that was so much fun! and so unique! Definately worth more than just 6 plays! youve managed to capture the fun of the Move pack without having to use Move. Bravo sir! or madam i loved it! i thought the boss was difficult but fun nonetheless. would love to see what other obstacles you could create using this move (without the move) feature ha!

Please give my level a shot! https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=72601-Cloud-Rock-Falls-%28Platformer%29

First, I really like this level. I haven't seen many levels based on this tilting idea, and I think you made it work quite well! I'm going to go ahead and get the cons out of the way first. Honestly, it took me a while to get used to the tilting mechanic. At times I wasn't too sure exactly how I was supposed to tilt the controller, so I just waved it around until something happened. Added to that, I felt that the level was a little on the short side. I didn't feel like I had the time to familiarize myself with the new mechanic. Perhaps you could make a sequel?
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the visual style, but that's a minor complaint. The level looks perfectly fine. I'm not exactly a great artist, myself.
I did like the boss fight, though. It wasn't challenging, but it still required me to use my brain. These puzzle-type boss fights are the kind that I think fit most with LittleBigPlanet.
Now, I don't want to sound like I don't like the level. I definitely enjoyed it! Its certanly better than many levels I've seen as of late. You have an original idea and I think it has great potential. I'd love to see more levels using this idea!

F4F level is in my signature.

I played this a few days back and it was absoutly FAB-U-LOUS its the most creative and unique level i have played in ages, i can't believe no one has tried using the SIXAXIS before ( i know some people have but its not all so common). I hope more people use the SIXAXIS and get inspired by this amazing level. Its difficult but challenging.2012-07-24 15:45:00

Thanks for the feedback sackie! I hope it inspires people to use the sixaxis controls too! That's why i put most of the obstacles in prize bubbles throughout the level Even if people don't use them, they can still take a look at the logic involved.

Also, as a note to everyone:
I'm looking for someone who wants to make a good quality gameplay video of the level, especially the boss. If you know anyone you think can do this for me, please tell me! This level just screams for a vid!

Hmm. Loosen up those wrists? Strange to ma a level like this would come out just as i broke my wrist. Checking it out right now and will leave my opinion in the edit. In the meantime. Please play and leave feedback for my inFAMOUS Pinball game https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=72470-inFAMOUS-Pinball-(1-Player

Ya know. That was really worth the 10 minutes of pain. I loved it and its awesome to see someone keeping the SIXAXIS alive. all of the different platforms that you could control and especially the boss fight at the end. That was pretty unique and as i stated. Well worth the pain of my hand. Good luck with this and any future creations!

Now this Was a masterpiece! I havent been able to play any of the move levels as I dont have one. But this seems just like one and I loved it. Making my path with the motion of the controler was perfect. Although I will say the boss fight was cool But maby next time make it actully shoot you and tilt on its own maby. I felt like the whole time I was fighting myself you know what I mean? Then again you probly did that on purpose. I would say if you make another tilt level and put a boss in it, make it so you have to tilt certain things on the boss to get to a point to where you can kill it instead of killing your self with tilting. Other than that it was perfect and im waiting on a part 2 =D Hearted and queued.2012-07-25 02:51:00

Hehe thanks At the boss, I made you fight yourself on purpose ^^ If i make something i like to make it different from what most other creators make. There's probably not going to be a sequel, i would need some really good ideas for obstacles first. In fact, i'm already working on a new project. Maybe you can take the prize items you get in my level and create your own tilt level

This well crafted level is definitely worthy of plays. I do not recall playing any LBP levels that have made use of the Sixaxis, even outside of the LBP universe/multiverse. Most PS3 game developers in general seem to either overlook the function or make poor usage of it. I'm happy to see that someone dared to be or just simply desired to be different in order to stand out...

Play this level as soon as you can.

Not bad, I've only seen a couple other levels use the six axis as a theme(probably because its not as responsive as it should be, but that's Sony's fault) The only major thing I didn't like was the visual aesthetic, but it was obvious that you were focusing on gameplay and it shows. Overall very fun and a nice change of pace compared to the levels out right now.2012-07-28 17:18:00

It was creative and challenging. I've only seen the use of the Sixaxis motion controls in few other levels as well, and almost none of them can compete with yours. The gameplay was crafty and did require some patience, which is good. However, I felt that some of the controls could be a bit more comfortable than they are now, I bent my wrists and pressed buttons in weird ways when I had to multitask.
The scenery could have been flashier, however, the gameplay was what really had the spotlight. As I said before, few other levels have used the Sixaxis controls and used it so well. There's really only one exception, but I forgot its name.
The boss fight was creative, but I could ride on the boss to get to the bombs at one point. That's pretty much all that was wrong with it.
A good level with a creative idea, it just needs some minor polishing here and there to make it shine even brighter. :hero:

Hehe, that wasn't wrong at all! If i didn't want people to do that, i would have put up some invisible walls It's pretty hard to do without falling off, and if the fuel tanks are in the wrong position, it won't help you at all! Glad you enjoyed it though, and thanks for the feedback!

Great level. I remember playing one other sixaxis level that I really liked. It was called sixaxis unlimited, but that was a totally different level. Yours is just as good and creative. Some people mentioned the visual appeal, but I don't think it matters when the gameplay is so good. The boss section was my favorite part of your level. It was challenging and unique. There were times when I didn't know which way to tilt the controller. It didn't take too long to figure it out though. Also, I liked the little sackbot's comments before each obstacle.

Yeah, the visuals is what i hear most people about. I'm happy with the way it looks though And as long as no-one says that it looks bad, i'm okay with it! I did my best to find some materials that go well together, and even stickered the score bubbles to look nice with it. Anyway, thanks for the feedback, i appreciate it
