The screenshot looks great! I can't wait to give this a play! I hate asking but who are the people involved in this project? | 2012-07-18 00:48:00 Author: anoken Posts: 1654 |
I'll be giving this a play in a bit. Was it just Schark who made this one or a group effort? Looks great either way. EDIT: Wow, that was a very well designed level. I loved the rustic vibe, lighting illusions, and Schark's recognizably tight visuals. Even though the story telling part was a blatant ripoff of Kindred's prologue, I'll let it slide since it looks neat. :star::star::star::star::star: <3 The one issue was the lag that was induced after falling through the pipe. It seemed unnecessary especially since it sounded like the result of emitters going off way too frequently all of a sudden. If you can fix this, you'll have yourself(selves?) a creator heart as well. Buen trabajo. | 2012-07-18 02:17:00 Author: WoodburyRaider Posts: 1651 |
I hate asking but who are the people involved in this project? You will find that out while playing the level. The one issue was the lag that was induced after falling through the pipe. It seemed unnecessary especially since it sounded like the result of emitters going off way too frequently all of a sudden. I knew we're forgetting something but didn't know what. Thank you Woodbury for letting us know about the problem and for the review. The level has been updated and should run fine now. | 2012-07-18 09:55:00 Author: Schark94 Posts: 3378 |
Might have to check this out ! | 2012-07-18 12:26:00 Author: Unknown User |
I knew we're forgetting something but didn't know what. Thank you Woodbury for letting us know about the problem and for the review. The level is now updated and should run fine now. Sounds good. I'll give it another play when I get the chance. | 2012-07-18 16:33:00 Author: WoodburyRaider Posts: 1651 |
I was able to find wifi that works, so I gave this level a try. The entire atmosphere is incredible. The use of SFX everywhere gave it an eerie and believable environment corresponding to the story. Good suggestion with the earphones! Whoever did the visuals, major kudos to you. This is easily one of the best 'mechanical/factory-looking' environments I've seen on PSP. The orange BG and little details gave it a creepy-esque look I loved. I have to say though, the use of silhouette introducing the story was kind of familiar (Kindred), but I think that is a minor gripe that doesn't take away from the originality of this series. Also, there were a couple minor grammatical errors in the dialogue, but meh, that's okay. Oh one more thing, it sounds a little, dare I say, 'noobish' to write that this is 'the most anticipated level series of the year.' I don't doubt it's anticipated, it just sounds like you're asking for plays in my opinion. :star::star::star::star::star:<3 Looking forward to more! | 2012-07-18 18:30:00 Author: anoken Posts: 1654 |

Whoever did the visuals, major kudos to you. This is easily one of the best 'mechanical/factory-looking' environments I've seen on PSP. The orange BG and little details gave it a creepy-esque look I loved. Finally someone noticed the importance of the audio aspect! We spent a lot of time to create something with atmosphere, that would suck the player inside the level. Adding the creepy apocalypse ambient like the orange background, which I call "The Burning Sky" or the rusty environment, together with the plants we thought about giving the player the right feelings. I have to say though, the use of silhouette introducing the story was kind of familiar (Kindred), but I think that is a minor gripe that doesn't take away from the originality of this series. Using the silhouette we thought about the earlier LBPC projects (Kindred and Freesia) and each one uses the same style. It's more like an actual LBPC style. It gives the story a mystery feeling that also fits to the apocalypse. Oh one more thing, it sounds a little, dare I say, 'noobish' to write that this is 'the most anticipated level series of the year.' I don't doubt it's anticipated, it just sounds like you're asking for plays in my opinion. Dam, I knew it was a bad idea! xD Anyway, thanks for the review. Glad you enjoy! | 2012-07-19 09:15:00 Author: Schark94 Posts: 3378 |
