EA has officially announced Battlefield 4, in the shape of an exclusive beta for those who pre-order Medal of Honor: Warfighter Limited Edition. This news first appeared (http://uk.ign.com/articles/2012/07/14/battlefield-4-beta-advertised-on-origin) over the weekend, when Origin ? EA's digital distribution platform ? carried an advertisement mentioning a BF4 beta. ?Though Battlefield and Medal of Honor Warfighter (http://pc.ign.com/objects/101/101082.html) each offer players a completely unique experience, they are united by their underlying technology base ? Frostbite. These are two of the hottest shooters, coming together to deliver a one-two punch of action, intensity and shooter entertainment,? said Frank Gibeau (http://stars.ign.com/objects/142/14213900.html), President of EA Labels. Access to the exclusive beta will be available in Autumn 2013, and further details on Battlefield 4 will be revealed at a later date, said EA. http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/07/17/ea-announces-battlefield-4 | 2012-07-17 18:23:00 Author: Ayneh Posts: 2454 |

They should wait a few years before making a sequel to BF3 I liked how they made other Battlefield games before BF3 like Bad Company and then made BF3 a big release with a new engine. | 2012-07-17 20:31:00 Author: Halfire Posts: 132 |

Bad Company is a bit different than Battlefield. Battlefield's 'series' revolves around games like 1943 and 2142: they have no actual story to them and are just there for playability. Bad Company is an actual series revolving around 4 guys blowing **** up on a daily basis because AMERICA, F--- YEAH! | 2012-07-17 21:22:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |

I was hoping they would at least make a 2143 spin-off, but another main game already? | 2012-07-17 21:30:00 Author: gdn001 Posts: 5891 |
This feels a little too soon for me, as everyone else so far. Glad I'm not the only one. If they manage to make this better than BF3, I'm alright with a new battlefield game. Perhaps our stats/ unlocks from BF3 could carry over and we could continue on with new weapons and such? I will probably (if at all) be getting this on Consoles. Hopefully they can somehow increase the player limit in online servers. | 2012-07-18 04:32:00 Author: grayspence Posts: 1990 |
Fingers crossed that the reason they're making a new main game so soon is because they made their frostbite engine easy enough to where they can make a high quality game quickly.. | 2012-07-18 06:41:00 Author: Bremnen Posts: 1800 |
They're making a new game so soon because it makes lots of money. | 2012-07-18 09:00:00 Author: Rabid-Coot Posts: 6728 |
I think by the end of next year, id be happy enough to play a new BF. Alternating years is alright. | 2012-07-18 23:00:00 Author: ryryryan Posts: 3767 |

What I said is actually happening, so my point was I have no problem with a battlefield 4. As long as it's a step forward. | 2012-07-19 11:49:00 Author: ryryryan Posts: 3767 |

At least the Beta isn't coming till late 2013 which should mean BF4 not until sometime 2014. So I suspect I will have plenty of time for playing BF3. | 2012-07-19 13:14:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |

Nah.. go for the Premium. Some really fun maps... CQ is great fun, love some of the new play modes (gun master, domination etc) new assignments for new weapons, and cannot wait for the next new pack coming soon! ..and back on topic... wonder what setting it will be this time. Another launch into the future like BF2142? ..or back in time like BF1942. Should be interesting. Though I they will allow the cross hairs (the ones when not sighting) to change colors like you could in BF2 (I think that one was it) and also allow the mini map to swap between corners of your screen. Just too used to it up in the right corner that I rarely look at it in BF3 like I should. | 2012-07-19 13:50:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |

I saw that there's even an easter egg somewhere in the Karkand maps with the numbers "2143". | 2012-07-19 14:03:00 Author: gdn001 Posts: 5891 |
