I have tried almost everything - 2D, Neon, Paintin, different lighting, but i can't get a good icon! All Mm pick's have fantastic icons, but how do they do that? Anything who knows the key to a good icon?

A good tip is to take the picture in Front view. And make sure the picture you take is taken so the bit you want in the level icon will fit. If it's at all foggy, get rid of it, put it to 0%. Find the right balance between too dark and too light and you should be fine. 40864 ^ An example of one of mine ^

I always make the icon as a BIG circle, then I do what ever I want with it, set the SAME background as in the actual level. Set it to Front view and then take the image. Make the circle big to get more details, but not too big so It won't fit inside the view xD Front view removes the shadows and shading, which normally ruins pictures

You can also get some good contrast and lighting by taking a large picture of the badge you want, putting that picture on cardboard in a fresh level, and then taking another picture of that picture while playing around with lighting and effects. Creates slightly different contrasts and depths and things that can make a level badge look good.

I've always had this problem for years and no help threads on how to make good badge ever fix my foggy icons. I always use front view, preview, no grid, but nothing works. It's just weird how so many people have clear icons, like 95%. It just baffles me how that many people get clear icons when I've tried everything, lol.
