[Fan-Art] Plush Tarsier

Creating a plush Tarsier for Tarsier Studios

I have already created a thread about it at LittleBigPlanetarium but I also want to share it with the guys from LBPC. So here it is

Some days ago I started a project because I've heard that Tarsier hasn?t received any fan art yet. First I was shocked and didn?t believe it because they would really deserve some fan art because they do so much for us. They programmed parts the Download content for LBP1 and LBP2 and now LBP-Vita. These guys really deserve a lot of fan-art in my eyes.

So I thought about creating some fan-art for them. First I asked Google about ?Tarsier? and I saw lots of pictures of this little animals that look like a kind of monkey. I didn?t know that Tarsier is a kind of primate because it's called ?Koboldmakis? in German.

I thought that would be a good idea to create a kind of mascot for Tarsier. Then I remembered that I've a skeleton of an old ?Furby? in my box with lots of electronic things. Because these ?Furbies? have so big eyes that remember me of this Tarsier animals I decided to use the old Furby as framework for my fan-art.

Here is a picture of the framework:

Pretty ugly right?
To give the old Furby a new look I killed a plush moose because I need it's pelt

This is the killed plush moose:

I glued the pelt with a lot of glue to the framework. I used a ?hot glue gun? to do it.

I think very characteristic for Tarsiers are the big hands. So I created a framework for the hands out of wire.

Then I clothed the wire with the pelt. I also created a tail out of pelt.

After that I searched for a good material of the ears. I decided to use leather.

I glued the ears, hands and the tail to the body.

I was nearly done now but I didn?t like the yellow beak because Tarsiers don't have a beak I cut some parts of another pelt (dark brown) into very little parts and glued them onto the beak.

Finally I improved some parts that didn?t look very nice with the rest of the ?pelt-pulver? I created before.

My little Tarsier-friend is nearly done. Don?t forget the nameplate with the inscription: ?Tarsier Studios?

I just created some pictures of him in my garden and at the shelf with all my LBP stuff
