Title: The Great White North
http://lbp.me/v/cprkf2
Description: After surviving a plane crash somewhere in the far reaches of the arctic sea, you awake lost in a frozen land. In order to survive, you must trek accross the ice drifts, seek the aid of some curious villagers, and come face-to-face with an angry pod of ferocious Killer Whales. Can you escape the icy grasp of the great white north?

This is my first LBP 2 level. It was my plan starting out to take it simple for my first outing, but that didn't quite pan out as I had hoped. The more I built, more and more complicated the elements of the level became until I was about ready to rip my hair out. Overwhelmed and burned out, I put this on the back burner for many months. About a month ago I decided to finally polish up the level and release it to the world. It was definitely more of a learning experience than I had originally intended, and I hope it turned out pretty well.

I will F4F anyone who reviews this level.

Looks like quite the adventure! At first glance I thought you made a level about Canada! Haha Queued! 2012-07-08 15:20:00

I realized I forgot to add point bubbles to the level. That has been remedied. There are now bubbles throughout the level, along with point rewards for completing the "quests."2012-07-09 23:24:00

I checked this level out and it's pretty good, definitely deserves more plays, I really enjoyed having to backtrack, something you rarely see in LBP levels anymore. My only complaint would be that the level looked a bit bland, try decorating the place.

Could you give me feedback on my level (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=72221-Larry-s-Adventure), please?

Hey Pluribus
Nice level mate, well done! Great use of varied music, great camera work, some really nice cut scenes, especially the orka section in slow mo' and the plane at the start. Really nice story line, felt really calm and relaxing to play (THATS NOT a cryticism) The dialogue was funny at times, and well thought out, the logic all worked well, and I can tell you must have tested this loads to get everything to work well. You did a GREAT job, especially for your first ever lbp2 level!

.....if only you could have spent a little more time with the decorations and stickers.....what you have there is a VERY nice level, but i cant help but think if it was really well decorated, with a bit of 3d stuff here and there this level wouldnt be great it would be EXCELLENT!

Hows the thermo, any chance off adding anything?

All the best with it mate, I hope you are pleased with it?

If you could return the favour and play my tank commander (http://lbp.me/v/cn8hww) level, i'd appreciate it

This was a great level to play.

As with everyone else, I thought it looked nice but could use more decorations in open spaces.

The gameplay was nice and simple, with the backtracking aspect working well.

I was very impressed with the stars at night. The only thing I would change for that is to add more so that they continue off of the screen, rather than letting the player see that it is just a ribbon of stars.

Additionally, the transitions while on the boat and switching to the forest could be cleaned up. Work with the cameras to your advantage to hide all of the movement from one location to another. I think people would also appreciate if it could happen without killing them, but that isn't as big a deal.

Finally, I just have to mention the orcas. That was probably my favorite part in the entire level and was put together very well. That midair killer whale shot was great.

"Well that was convenient" - The best part I say...
The whole level was quite brilliant. Very well put together indeed. The music and design worked well together. I did notice some confusion regarding finding the battery though... I never did find it... I just gave up and headed back up. Once there it seemed that I had recovered it somehow. I think that making the battery more noticeable might help clear that up.
I also got stuck between the boat and the stone in the area where you exit the boat the final time. I was forced to pop myself... so sad. Oh, and in order to allow people the chance to Ace the level I suggest using a teleporter instead of killing and respawning. I used that tech in Act 2 of my Metal Gear Sackboy - Unraveling Stitches story... Just run a search for teleporter on YouTube and you should find an easy to follow tutorial.

As for the F4F... I've got two levels from which you can choose (or both if you'd like)... I really want some good feedback... I want to know how to improve the levels. Thanks!
