Problem Backing up/Loosing objects
Archive: 4 posts
For the last two days, i've been getting a notification on Lbp saying that there were some changes to my profile that could not be saved, and when I try to backup my profile, it just makes the notification pop up. When I turned off my PS3 and played after a few hours, everything i've done for about two hours of playing online/create wasn't there, but it was still listed in my recent activities. For example, I got an object from a level online, then went back on a few hours later, and it disappeared. Hopefully theres a way to fix this because I don't want to start not being to save anything. :s | 2012-07-08 07:56:00 Author: GranolaCrunch Posts: 105 |
Here's what I did, I can't say with any certainty that it'd work for you though: 1) Delete all community objects you have accumulated. 2) Delete any (as many as possible) of your objects as you can. 3) Any levels that you are working on and want to backup - lock them and publish them on your Earth - this is another way to keep them backed up. 4) If any of the levels you are working on are getting a bit large, try and cut them into 2. Make sure you publish the large version first to be safe. See my earth - I have 3 locked levels on there (well.... 4, but one is for a different reason). The large version of the level I needed to backup is just "Unnamed Level", then I've split it up into "1" and "2". 5) Lastly, any levels that you are done with, and have been previously published fully on your Earth, delete off your moon. You can always copy them back off your Earth if you really need to. | 2012-07-08 10:52:00 Author: Ali_Star Posts: 4085 |

I deleted some of my community and made objects (Which was a ton!) and was able to back up my profile. | 2012-07-08 16:24:00 Author: GranolaCrunch Posts: 105 |
Few! Thank you so much! I deleted some of my community and made objects (Which was a ton!) and was able to back up my profile. Just a warning, deleting SOME of my accumulated crap saved my profile for a short while, but then it bugged out on me again. If I were you, to be safe I'd delete ALL community objects, and ALL of the levels on your moon that you're done with. I think I managed to cut the size of my profile down by about half by doing all this! | 2012-07-08 17:01:00 Author: Ali_Star Posts: 4085 |
