Quick Question on Impact Sensors

Archive: 4 posts

I have an impact sensor on sticker panel. When the panel touches a certain (tagged) object, I want it to change colour, but I want it to be a gradual change. I know you can do this by using tag sensors, but is there a way to do it with impact sensors?

Just so you know, in theory I could use tag sensors instead of impact sensors, but I would have to use a lot more tags, which I don't want to do.

Set sticker panel to "Dimmer" if there is one. Make the original color its off color and the color it changes to its new color.
Make a timer and wire the impact sensor into its left input. Set it's target time to the time it takes for the sticker panel to change color, and set it to "Start Count up". Wire the timer to the sticker panel.

I'm guessing if I set the timer to forwards/backwards that the colour will fade back when it moves out of the objects area?
