First, very nice. Excellent work on the visuals. Great artwork at the beginning to help tell the story and a good story it is too. There's a few grammatical errors in the narration though like "there" when it should be "their." Gameplay. The gameplay was good, the puzzles were very good. I had issues with my caterpillar though. Everything was working well until I got to the spot where you have to traverse over the logs moving back and forth across the water. For one, I thought the creature should ride WITH the logs, instead he kind of floats there while the logs move beneath him and if you aren't quick enough, plop and splat, right into the water. Here's where it glitched pretty badly. I died 3 or 4 times here and a couple of those, instead of respawning in my catepillar, I fell to the floor of the level. I mean, no biggie, I just popped myself and returned to the creature. I made it passed the logs and and in one of the sections there are smash blocks moving out across the path. the blocks smashed my body and took off the caterpillar segments and left just the head. Which wasn't entirely a bad thing as it was easier to move about. The next section took me just a little bit. The section where there is a moving platform moving in a square pattern on the water. Across the water is two symbols and on my side is a symbol to start the platform moving. It took me a bit here because it was awhile before I saw the other openings. maybe some sort of pale light at the openings or something to indicate a path is there. I fell into the water here a few times because once again, my creature does not move with the platform. I got stuck in a kill loop here and was barely able to proceed, but I did. I made it through the rest of the level and encountered a great boss fight.
Overall, excellent work. I really enjoyed it. Thank you for the experience.

Very nice work...reminds me of something I was working on in the Vita beta before it ended

I can echo the sentiments of some of the other players, the controls need a little work...it's really tough to reverse direction quickly, something that makes the boss battle a little trickier. Speaking of the boss encounter, I'd add a little feedback so that the player knows that he's hit the boss - maybe an extra monster scream noise, or add attach a piece of holo to his body that glows red when he's hit, perhaps a little camera shake.

Overall though, it was fantastic... nice balance of visuals, puzzles and gameplay. The opening cinematic was perfect, on par with some of the retails levels IMO

You won't mess up the level link as long as you publish on top of the current level.2012-07-10 01:37:00
