enemy shooting at player

how would i go about getting a enemy to shoot at the player i currently have it where the enemy follow the players location (its for a Top down twin-stick shooter) and when it shoots it does not shoot at me 2012-06-28 21:37:00

Well what I would do is make sure there is an invisble hologram that is attached to the enemy or uses a follower to follow it or just none at all. Then you should make another piece of hologram that is attached to first (or the enemy) with a bolt. On the second one put a microchip with a look at rotator facing up/vertical and an emitter that shoots the ammo/attack(make sure it shoots up). Now that piece of material will rotate towards and shoot the player and while staying attached to the enemy. Also add a player sensor to the emmiter so it will reduce lag by only shooting when close to the player. I hope this helps.2012-06-29 03:20:00

If you're using the rocket rotator+follower method or the local space mover+ look at rotator method, you should have no problems. Plop an emitter on the enemy, make it emit projectile in front at a certain linear velocity, and boom, it works.2012-06-29 03:24:00
