The Islands background Completely destroyed!!

Archive: 8 posts

Okay, I loaded one of my unfinished levels with the Islands background.. this is what it looked like:
I would say it's a glitch, texture glitch.. But what ya think? Glitch, Easter egg etc. ?
BTW. It still looks like this if I change to play mode, or even if I returns to the pod and loads the level again :O

I've had that happen to me once with the Canyons background. It went away when I turned off the game, but it is pretty weird.

I dunno if it's related but I've also had a similar thing happen with the Pirates of the Caribbean background. What happened with that one was that everything turned invisible except for some tree leaves and random rocks. They just floated in the fog.

Maybe you can use that in your level? It would make your level quite unique.2012-06-27 23:57:00

Lol awesome find man. I have had it when The Muppets back background doesn't really load very well (looks all white like it's fogginess is at 100%) and the attract-o-gel doesn't work. Only Happened once and that was when it first came out. Some strange stuff though lol 2012-06-28 00:17:00

Sorry you can't do anything to fix that glitch. I must say though, it looks pretty great up close, and that first picture for some reason kinda reminds me of those previews for 'The Last Guardian'.2012-06-28 00:47:00

It just appears that more glitches occur every time we update our game. First, we add, change, or remove features. Then when that happens, a whole bunch of glitches break in. When we fix them or add more features and even more glitches occur. If I did make some changes to the game, I would test the games before releasing the games.2012-06-28 01:07:00

Well I highly doubt MM doesnt at least play the game a little before releasing a patch, theyre not morons you know. And what are they supposed to do, test every aspect of the entire game? Load every background 1000 times to make sure that no texture glitches happen? Theyre just human. Stuff like this is bound to happen in any game.

That's how all these glitches are coming. When people test their levels, they make sure that no bug is left behind. Now the glitches such as the "recent changes to your profile cannot be saved due to an unknown error" glitch and the one in hedge hopping are bad and should be fixed.
