Need a bit of Help with Counters

I'm trying to set it up so that when you reach a set number of enemies killed the game would progress how would I go about doing that | 2012-06-26 20:03:00 Author: Unknown User |
There are probably better ways, but here's how i'd go about it (sorry if my explanation isn't very clear): Set up your enemy so it activates (or emits) a tag when it dies. Then, on the player or elsewhere, set up a tag sensor to detect that particular tag. Connect it to a counter and make it count to 1, and wire it to it's reset, in effect creating a pulse (just to make sure the sensor doesn't stay on which will stop it counting). Then wire that counter to a second counter, and set it to the number that you want killed. Connect the second counter to whatever you want to happen when the player has killed enough enemies and that should do it. | 2012-06-26 20:25:00 Author: Mopkins Posts: 123 |
put tags on all your bots. set a tag sensor to 'number of tags'. put your selected number in. invert tag sensor and put it into any logic you want. the tag sensor will now only turn on when the number of tags have been destroyed. done edit: oh, you don't want to kill ALL of the sackbots before you move on... i'm sure with a little bit more logic the above would work though | 2012-06-26 20:34:00 Author: GribbleGrunger Posts: 3910 |
