Back from the dead?......Not! I'm simply back :D

Archive: 14 posts

Hey my fellow sackboys and sackgirls!
I've disappeared completely from the littlebigplanet community since the end of September I think.
I apologize for my absence but I believe that the reason why I stopped playing was quite hard to completely assume.
Since it's been a while since and most of my friends already know I'll be explaining what could have separated me from the incredible littlebigplanet community.
About 8-9 Months ago, something tragic happened, something that even I didn't know how to react to. My lovely parents died in a car accident which I by chance wasn't in. My heart was broken and I just couldn't believe it. I moved and now I live with my aunt. The ps3 came with me and everything but I didn't touch it, I played in rare occasion with my school friend but except then I wouldn't. I think I've simply forgotten the good time I had creating and sharing things via lbp2. Almost exactly 1 month ago my little cousin came to visit us and i let him play with my ps3. So then I came to see what he was playing and he was playing lbp2. I felt somehow excited and couldn't wait for him to actually leave so I could start maybe I don't know...creating! When I started actually playing I couldn't wait to see how my rpg (which I worked for the last 4 month of my activity) looked like since It's been quite a while. I had a lot of fun but when I restarted touching the logic a huge lack of skill appeared and then I was like '' okay don't touch anything you'll fk everything up''. I've played during the next 2 weeks a couple of hours per weeks to simply get my mind back on track and I also had to study really hard for the upcoming exams. After then I remember telling myself '' I love this!! I'm actually having fun and I will get these series published!!'' Right after then I restarted creating hours per day and I was actually a better creator, maybe the experience I went through helped? I definitely appreciate all the people who have helped me through all the sad moments and I was happy to see my old lbp friends cheer me up and completely understand me. Even if there aren't there anymore I'll love them forever!

Now that you understand why I wasn't online anymore let's talk a bit about myself.
I'm a french Canadian that live in Gatineau, by luck my aunt live there too so I didn't have to change school and my life didn't change that much. I love to play all kind of sports but my favorite is volleyball. Ironically today is exactly the third month since I started weight lifting because I had to renew my membership. Like I said I've been training for the past 3 month at the gym, 5 time a week for about 1h30. I really like training and I'll probably continue for a while maybe forever . What else to say?....umm oh yeah I work my butt off learning English to have proper discussion with my fellow friends over the lbp community.
That's about it I think, if you want to know something else about me don't bother asking.

Thanks for reading folks!

I remember you mentioning this a little ways back, twitter perhaps? I don't recall. I hardly ever know what to say when something like this happens. I am so very sorry for your loss and glad to hear that LBP has maybe been therapeutic for you. You know you have friends here and we're all here for you. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.2012-06-26 06:54:00

I cannot even imagine what such a tragedy would be like. All I can say is that I am happy to read that creating in LBP makes you feel better again.

If you're ever stuck in Create and need help, or just'd like to hang out, give me a call (ID: Stellakris).

Welcome back.

Please accept my condolences on your loss.
Having lost my Mom, 3 other family members and 5 friends ( in a one year time span) I think I have an idea of what you're going through.
If you feel the need to talk feel free to contact me.

It's great to hear that your friends from LBP where there for you and that the game has helped you through some of the rough times.

I'll keep you in my prayers.

People in this community are just the best.
I'm truly grateful and happy to read these wonderful comments. Coming back here was definitely a smart idea and I only regret taking this much time to get back on lbp.

It's completely understandable, sometimes people just need to give things a break for a while before coming back. I'm sorry for your loss, and it's good to hear that LBP has been a real motivator. If there's any help you might need with adjusting to any changes that might've taken place on LBPC since your leave of absence, feel free to send me a message, I'd be happy to help with whatever I can.
