If i transfer PS3, with a ethernet cord, will my pins be reset? Or is there anything else that i should note? Im realyyyyyy nervous that something dont get transerfered, and you delete alle data on both machines, so if it dont, the data is lost - hope you can help me!

why not just make a seperate usb backup first? Then if everything does go wrong you won't have to worry. Although I don't think there should be any issues.

I transferred my data to another PS3 a while ago. The one thing that you have to do is back up your profile otherwise you will loose everything that you have done since the last time you've backed up. This can be done when in your pod. You have to click "Back Up" in the pause menu.This backed up data cannot be put onto a USB. The only way to get this data to another PS3 is using the system transfer option with an Ethernet cable. As pins, I think they disappear but as soon as you go on LBP 2 most of them come back one after each other. However I don't think all of them will come back like the ones that track how long you've been in create mode.

I think you can transfer a backed up profile onto a usb, I haven't done it personally, but just go to your backed up profile via the xmb, click triangle on it then select the copy function and select the usb drive

A warning: if you name your new Ps3 sometging other than the exact name of the old one, it will prevent you from earning pins! It won't recognize your profile as being "yours" so to speak. But you can still do everything even if you name your ps3 differently, i just cant earn any more pins, but i can still publish and create stuff
