strange glitch?

Archive: 12 posts

I remember playing a level that told you about a dangerous glitch. It told you how to do it but didn't tell you the results. This is what it said: 1. turn off ps3. 2. at the same time eject the disc. That's all it said. So, anyone know what happens?2012-06-25 02:47:00

I'm guessing zombies come out of the ps3 and steal your pancakes. *mew

Maybe this:

after you PS3 is disconnected, hold the button eject while you connect again the energy entrance in the back part of the PS3.

you PS3 will start to do a strange sound, EASY , this sound are the fans spinning in the opposite direction, this way you PS3 will take out the dust for it own.

After finish the red light will start to twinkle (if you try to turn on will not work), AGAIN EASY , for finish you only have to disconnect a connect again the energy entrance.

now you PS3 is clean and happy and you can start to play LBP

It's way to clean your PS3, but it's NOT recommended.

Not sure that will not cause unwanted effects, like broken PS3.

Moreover, like Biorogue said:

I've heard this before and actually did it one time. I found the info on the web and it said the PS3 has a "self cleaning" function. Then I read that it could actually harm your PS3.

... and wulongheyot said :

I hope nobody tries this, polarity reversal is a very bad thing for electronic devices. The mechanical wizards who create the hardware design ALL electronics in the PS3 to handle a certain level of electricity in ONE DIRECTION. They don't put the same attention to current that travel in a direction "they" know the hardware would never have to handle.

I can see why this is harmful, but from what everyone says, it seems like sony should have just put in a self distruct button.
I realy dont see how this would clean the ps3 though

Oh well it sucks how it is good for your PS3 but bad at the same time. Either way, hand cleaning (blowing the dust away) is the number one way 2012-06-25 23:57:00

That is exactly what he did lol. I can't remember any other time hearing him laugh as hard as he was when we were making that level. I'm still laughing every time I think about it.
