On it!!!!

Why don't we eat chicken feathers?

any chance of a Vita version of that app, Young'n?

Gravity Rush 84% average on Metacritic. http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-vita/gravity-rush/critic-reviews

Play Resistance 3!! It's the best of the three on the PS3

CLICK: Boyond... Oh Brother I want this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M48SZn83sPY&hd=1)

Bare in mind that what we saw of the new Tombraider was the beginning of the game before she becomes the character we all love... but I have to agree, it's heavily influenced by Uncharted and looks as if it could just veer a fraction too far from what Tombraider is supposed to be about

why do 'boobies' depict Hell legitimately?! very odd lol

You'd sooner play a game when you can imagine the devs drooling over creating weapons to blow peoples heads off but you won't play a game when you imagine the dev drooling over sex? Think about it:

Creep, sneak, peek, shoot,
killing polygon's a hoot.
Slashing textures, pressing square,
lots of blood but I don't care.
Volumetric, real time lighting,
hate to die, love the fighting.
Bombs explode, feel the rumble,
shoot a leg to see them crumble.
Snigger at the points I got:
'mummy please, one more headshot'

If this doesn't make you laugh, you're not human:

Best Boss fight of LBP2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5qwe4Lvf7CQ&hd=1)

Aughghgh... the monkey swing grab ceilings!! I absolutely hate them too. it's not so bad when it's designed downwards but when it's straight across or God forbid 'UPWARDS!', that's the point I 'return to pod'. this is why LBP needs a proper hand over hand animation for this. hold and then just press left or right. rope and ladder climbing too... Please

Battleships would make a great movie

I'll go with the rock in my shoe because I seldom move from the TV or this site anyway.

Once again, a very good podcast. Shorter but no less interesting. For some reason it felt more balanced than a lot of others. your guests contributed perfectly and complimented the general waffling well. I don't know why but I kept hearing feedback of some sort in the background (perhaps it was my end)... a sort of distorted after sound of the data is the only way I can describe it.

Fantastic job guys, love listening to you, very entertaining and informative!
Thanks for keeping me laughing!
Running commentary here...lol
Was going to end my post but ya'll just keep coming up with great stuff.
Additional voice comment variations were hilarious!
"Bless his heart" LOL
How 'bout a pic of that Brussel sprout fairy Taffey?
My next level....dark matter, floor, bridges and spinning sponges.
This should become the offical podcast imo.
Cookies on the way.
Texas another country? We REALLY need to talk. lol
Come on down and we'll show you what Texas is all about.
Take the sand...lol
This post sounds insane if you haven't listened to the podcast. lol

Doh! There were some technical problems (seems to be a theme here) with the direct download / iTunes version of the podcast that caused the last 3 minutes of the recording to be cut off. I have finally managed to identify and fix the problem, so that should be that. However:

If you have already used iTunes or direct downloaded to get Episode 22, you will need to delete the version you have and re-download the file.

Sorry for the hassle! All should be well now though.

Glad everyone's enjoying the podcast so far!

why do 'boobies' depict Hell legitimately?! very odd lolhahaha I kind of thought so too - especially "..and other things". Not sure I want to know what they are.

You'd sooner play a game when you can imagine the devs drooling over creating weapons to blow peoples heads off but you won't play a game when you imagine the dev drooling over sex?In a nutshell, yes. Option 1 is considerably less creepy than Option 2.

Creep, sneak, peek, shoot,
killing polygon's a hoot.
Slashing textures, pressing square,
lots of blood but I don't care.
Volumetric, real time lighting,
hate to die, love the fighting.
Bombs explode, feel the rumble,

Snigger at the points I got:
'mummy please, one more headshot'You have won the Internet. Boy do I love me a good gamer poem! Very nicely done indeed.

If this doesn't make you laugh, you're not human:

Best Boss fight of LBP2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5qwe4Lvf7CQ&hd=1)I must be very human then, because that is friggin hilarious. LOL

I don't know why but I kept hearing feedback of some sort in the background (perhaps it was my end)... a sort of distorted after sound of the data is the only way I can describe it.Yes, that can be attributed to the noise filtering I sometimes need to do. In this case there was some ambient/transmission background noise (often it's the internal fan on someone's computer), and filtering is always a fine balance. I can get rid of it 100% but then we all sound like we're talking through a sewer drain while trying to eat cotton. I usually go for a most-of-the-way approach which makes our voices clearer but results in a bit of the "warbling" you're hearing. Good ear!

Listening to it right now.
Love it!Woot! Thanks for checking it out!

Bio- you sound so "Famous Country singer"! (Travis Tritt- ish)Yes, totally! I was also thinking maybe with a little Johnny Cash mixed in as well.

Fantastic job guys, love listening to you, very entertaining and informative!
Thanks for keeping me laughing! That right there is pretty much the best feedback we could hope for. Yay!

Additional voice comment variations were hilarious!Sara and Tom were SUCH good sports about that. And they nailed it!

How 'bout a pic of that Brussel sprout fairy Taffey?Yes, I think that can be arranged - I'll grab a screen capture of her (?) the next chance I get. hehe

Texas another country? We REALLY need to talk. lol
Come on down and we'll show you what Texas is all about. Aha! I knew that wouldn't escape the sharp-eared Texans around here. My wife is quite proudly Texan (and she does remind me of that from time to time) and we visit Houston regularly. Of course I'm a California boy so I prefer it here, BUT...

There is nobody out there and I mean nobody that has BBQ like Texas. Oh it's quite dandy in other parts of the country, but Texas is it. And, of course, any good Texan will tell you that there are NO BEANS IN CHILI. Ever. You make them separately and put them on the side with the onions and the cheese, but the only thing that goes in chili is meat, meat, and more meat.

But anyway, you do have to admit that Texas is like a different country... and I don't mean in a bad way.

Everyone has GOT to listen to this! Thanks for listening! :hero:

ROFL, you definitely don't won't to hear me sing. I wish I sounded like Randy Travis.
Now why would I say Rocky Mountain Oysters (Calf Fries where I'm from little lady)? I love 'em. The first time I had them was done by trickery! I had vowed never to eat that sort of thing and one time I went with my best friend (back in jr. high) to his family gathering. They had this huge platter of fried stuff set out and my buddy goes, oh it's chicken. I started eating and on my second plate he goes, "those are calf fries." I went O_O then -_- and then and ate several more plates. They're really good when done right.
What I could have also said is Cottage Cheese. I think that's worse than yogurt by far. *shudders* can't even think about it right now.
Anyway, thank you for the kind words. I was really nervous, but would definitely love to be on the PMP again sometime. John and Tom, you guys were great! Thank you for the opportunity and the fun. I wish I could have been there the whole time, especially for the Q&A section.

Great podcast guys! I especially enjoyed the variety of topic ranging from silly to relatively serious such as pur?e-ing a cow tongue, nudity in games, games into movies, and so on.

I really enjoyed the nudity topic, as strange as that may sound. I was thinking about that topic a lot after playing Heavy Rain. Just imaging the creepy sweaty developer designing and animating that stuff.... odd. And I was unfortunate enough to be watching Ubisoft's press conference when they presented Far Cry 3 - opening with an extremely unnecessary 'boobies' scene.

And Tom, you are not alone! Sand in the pants for 24 hours would be much worse than a rock in your shoe for a week.

They're really good when done right.I am terrified of calf fries, but given the right circumstances (i.e., being tricked) I may also like them. My general rule is that I don't care what it is, just what it tastes like. Of course it's a bonus if it doesn't make me sick or anything.

Take sausage for example. Some really nasty stuff in there that I would NEVER eat but hey, it sure is delicious. If you can slip it by me and make it taste good, then more power to you. I won't even be grossed out when you tell me later.

What I could have also said is Cottage Cheese. I think that's worse than yogurt by far. *shudders* can't even think about it right now.O. M. G. You and I are on the same wavelength man. Cottage chee... *urp*

Ah there, you see? I can't talk about it either. Just... wrong.

Yeah, sorry you missed the Q&A but that was our fault - the news went on for longer than we had planned.

Great podcast guys! I especially enjoyed the variety of topic ranging from silly to relatively serious such as pur?e-ing a cow tongue, nudity in games, games into movies, and so on. Val! Glad you liked it, as always.

Just imaging the creepy sweaty developer designing and animating that stuff.... odd. And I was unfortunate enough to be watching Ubisoft's press conference when they presented Far Cry 3 - opening with an extremely unnecessary 'boobies' scene. This has been an interesting topic that has sparked some great discussion. The nudity itself isn't that much of a big deal, it's the objectification and pointlessness of it all that personally annoys me. If they wanted a random, unrelated attention-getting device, why not use Nyan Cat or maybe My Little Pony?

And Tom, you are not alone! Sand in the pants for 24 hours would be much worse than a rock in your shoe for a week.YES. Sand is evil and belongs nowhere near.... uh there.

This was another fun podcast and Biorogue/Xerorogue and xKappax worked out well as guests. Sorry to hear that there won't be a dedicated E3 edition but with E3 now ancient history the window is fast fading on that and I think that you managed to touch on a good number of highlights.

This is another instance where the recurring guest was more vocal than the primary guest but there is still the dedicated section for the primary guest so I think I'm finally convinced that the two guest mechanic can work out in most all cases. Good job whose ever that idea was. (I'm not casting any aspersions on either xkappax or biorogue. I loved listening to both of you just the way you were.)

It is too bad that we couldn't get more in depth with Biorogue on all the stuff he is into, his views on things and so on but I agree that there is only so much time that you can put into recording. Really the podcast is so full of different sections now that you get less and less time for each segment or some parts get the shaft entirely.

It seems that the podcast has grown and matured and is still trying to keep all the different bits that had while it grew up and keep adding in new things.

-----

I'll just try to touch on a few things to keep this shorter than normal. Cow tongue. I think like all food it is in how you cook and present this. I've had this and it tasted great. It was sliced very, very thin and you cook it at the table over a grill, dip it in any variety of sauces and om-nom, yummy beef goodness.

But if I was faced with a slab of tongue and had to go at it with a steak knife I'd not be so excited. One food I hate to eat is a raw squid type thing that you can find at some sushi places. I'm great with cooked squid but this raw bit is all gristly and slimy and you just can bite through it so you just sit there gnawing away while small slimy bits are sliding into your mouth. -shudder-

-----

This podcast you came up with a great would-you-rather question Tom/Taffey. I can imagine having a rock in my shoe, with the amount of walking I do in a week, that I'd have a bloody, bruised foot. But sand in the pants, big grainy sand, is just as bad with the chafing.

But I'd have to go wih the majority here, I'd rather get it over quicky and one day is short enought that it can be manageable. Do it on a weekend were I already have things planned out and I can just lay down or hobble around for a minimum of movement.

-----

I used to live in Texas, out in New Braunfels, and I think that it was a great place with a good Texas culture. But it wasn't until I lived out in the Los Angeles area that I started to feel like I was in a different county, just putting that out there.

-----

I'll also vouch for the LittleBigHub IOS app. It is a great tool, easy to use and it does offer some convenience over lbp.me. I can't wait for it to get released into the wild and see how the community reacts to it.

As and aside, the spot in the podcast where y'all talk about the app strongly reminded me of radio dramas I used to listen to where the announcer would shill for the advertiser's products in a canned spiel. It was true what you were talking about but it almost got infomercial-ish. It was a strange vibe to get out of the podcast.

-----

I appreciate being brought up in the Q&A section. Japan is a great country to visit, full of amazing scenery, temples, hidden spots, shopping and amazing food. If you stick to the tourist parts you'll have not much problem with the language as many Japanese know a bit of English and seem to love it when gaijin try to speak Japanese.

Not to mention that there are just some funny/absurd parts of the culture that you really just have to see/experience to get the full effect. I'd recommend it for a vacation spot for certain types of people.

-----

I'm looking forward to the Summer of surprises that you have in store for the PMP. With a build-up like that I'm already expecting big things. You better not dissappoint.

Thanks for the feedback Trindall! Great stuff as always, even if you didn't like my infomercial ;-)

I'm not sure whose idea it was to have two guests, so I will just give Tom credit for that one :-) I know it had to do with the fact that we had guests who wanted to return (Raz and Alex) so we decided to handle it with a returning guest and it has evolved from there. So perhaps we will give them credit :-)

I would imagine that I had cow tongue in China since there were so many times I would eat mystery meat with odd textures and just do my best to keep it down. Mrs. Poo is much better at eating on food than I am. She has an especially gross story about that which I may need to talk about on the podcast someday. Anyway, I think you are 100% right and it all lies in the preparation and how you eat it.

Sorry that the LittleBigHub section sounded like a commercial. We had no preplanned stuff and I just wanted to describe it a bit but perhaps I went a bit overboard. Hope it didn't drag out too much

As for the upcoming podcasts, there are some great things coming. You already know that one of them is a live Chicago podcast, but the rest will remain a secret for now. I am sure you won't be disappointed :-D

I'm not upset by the app discussion part in the podcast. It seems like an ideal place to discuss it after all as it is your app, it is LBP related and you are 50% of the podcast.

I was just pointing that part out as it really did dip into informercial territory after a bit and I had to chuckle a bit.

Fun show guys. Some parts of the episode came off a bit like a speed round to me, where you guys seemed rushed to get out an opinion to get to the next segment. On the plus side it seemed like you were able to get a lot of information in there =) I agree with you guys on Splinter Cell being a big surprise of the E3. But my fear is that it's very easy to look cool for a 5 minute clip. But the tagging's canned animations could get stale after 5+hours. I also agree that sex in games still comes off a bit creepy and tacky.

I have to disagree with Trindall on your app segment. It came off to me as genuine excitement for something that would be useful to LBP players. I look forward to using it once LBP Vita hits the shelves. But I do agree that the two guest system needs a bit of tweaking. Tom(BioRouge) was more like the guy sitting next to the person being interviewed on a talk show. Still, they both were great guests.

Hey, its nice to hear you're heading to my home town. Make sure you hit either Lou Malnati's or Gino's East for some za. I remember a few episodes back you guys talked about the best pizza. Being a total pizza snob it was hard not to cry =(

Keep up the good work

Yes, the clock was definitely ticking when we were recording this one, and even still we didn't quite manage to fit it all in - thus a bit of the "creative" editing.

Being a total pizza snob it was hard not to cry =(Ah! I've seen Gino's East on the Food Network and man, does that ever look amazing. There will quite literally not be enough hours in the weekend to do all the eating we want to do. We might just have to have 6 or 7 meals on Saturday but only take a bite or two of each. I've always wanted to check out some authentic Chicago grub so I am very excited for this trip.

Keep up the good workThanks!

...Oh, the 50" cookie is only bigger in diameter, not height, so I think your napkin math is wrong ; )
Secondly, how would you keep sand in your pants for a week, it would just fall out....
Charachter for Psasbr? Does it have to be a sony exlcusive?

Oh, and I didn't say "Dlc is irrelevent" I said costume dlc is irrelevant.
I think that the 50" cookie would have more cookie than the alternative. I you laid all the individual cookies out side by side, row next to row you'd see that where cookies all touched each other there'd be gaps where there'd be no cookie. (I'm assuming circular cookie shapes here.)

The 50" cookie wouldn't have those gaps. Even if you had enough small sized cookies to fill the same circular area as the 50" cookie then the large, single mass cookie should still have more cookie under this same logic.

I'm assuming that now the NDA has fully lifted for LBPVita, you guys are going to have a special section on the next podcast...? I'd like to hear about the new lighting effects specifically. SPARKS!!! we know about the special effects such as dust squalls, rain, snow, clouds and running water already. I really can't understand why those that 'could' put out videos of the beta avoided these new features though. I find that odd. anyway:

@Valeview: Sorry for misquoting you there. It can be a bit tricky to be podcasting and trying to keep up with the planetarium chat, though I love to take part in both, so sometimes I will read something quickly and then have to wait until I have a chance to talk and then just repeat it the best that I can by memory. In your case it led to a bit of a misquote.

@Trindall and Valeview: Oh, good to see that the cookie discussion is heating up :-) I still like the little cookies option. I agree 100% that I would get more cookie with one big cookie, but chances are that the big cookie would not bake as evenly (my wife reminded me of this point), and also I would probably just end up throwing a lot of it away. What would I do with an over 4 foot cookie

@GribbleGrunger: I'm sure you will hear all about the LBP Vita beta soon :-) Thanks for the request for talk about that!

Great job on the Podcast! You guys are naturals...never a dull moment or voids of "extreme" silence. I'm sure it helps when you have interesting guests on also, like kappa & bio.

One question...has anyone made a logo sticker for you in LBP2? If not, do you want one? And if not, can I make one anyway for use in levels I plan to publish...I'd like to "spread the love". I would, of course, submit for your approval before using it. Thanks.

@RickRock_777: It's great to hear that you enjoy the podcast. The quality is all due to Tom. If you could hear the original version of any episode then there would be about a thousand awkward pauses every ten minutes. In fact, I sometimes just say "... awkward" during the podcast if it happens, but Tom does an incredible job chopping the podcast down to a great length and keeping the good stuff.

I haven't spoken to Tom about it, but I'm sure he would agree that we would love a Pocket Moon Podcast logo for in-game. Mnniska has been telling us that we really need to start trying to spread the word in-game about the podcast now that most forums seem to know about us, and a logo would really help. Let us know and we could find a time for one of us to stop by and check it out if you get a chance to make one, and maybe if all of the planets align then we could both stop by :-)

@Valeview: Yeah, the King would make an excellent character!

Even if you had enough small sized cookies to fill the same circular area as the 50" cookie then the large, single mass cookie should still have more cookie under this same logic.Precisely. There is no way 100 smaller cookies could have the same area as the single larger cookie, therefore I'd have the larger one.

chances are that the big cookie would not bake as evenly (my wife reminded me of this point)Well that makes the scenario for the larger cookie even more attractive!

dough > cookie

I can only assume that your love of soggy food is surpassed by a desire for your food to actually be cooked.

Great job on the Podcast! You guys are naturals...never a dull moment or voids of "extreme" silence.
If you could hear the original version of any episode then there would be about a thousand awkward pauses every ten minutes.Yes, this is true. If we ever do a live show it will be very interesting to see how it turns out.

One question...has anyone made a logo sticker for you in LBP2? If not, do you want one? And if not, can I make one anyway for use in levels I plan to publish...I'd like to "spread the love". I would, of course, submit for your approval before using it. Thanks.

Giant cookie all the way. It would so much fun. You could carry it around town asking people if they have seen a really big glass of milk.2012-07-02 19:15:00

It would appear I am seriously failing the cookie debate More cookie > many cookies.

So let's take this a step farther, it appears you are excited about your uneven cooking and mass of cookie, so would you prefer the 4' round cookie, or a cookie cube? It would be even less evenly cooked, but it would be much more transferable and you could shove your head into and maybe even suffocate while eating cookie!2012-07-02 21:09:00

LOL I would definitely take the cube and, in fact, just don't even bother cooking it. I'll take a cube of dough that I can stick my head in. 2012-07-02 21:16:00

I think one giant cookie is a bad idea. For one, cookies by nature are transportable. Large cookies are not that portable. If I have 1000 cookies, I could keep a some in each room rather than carting this silly huge cookie all over the place. It doesn't fit in my pocket, can't take it in a sack unless I break it up into smaller portions. Well... if you did that, why the big cookie in the first place?2012-07-02 21:56:00

Well... if you did that, why the big cookie in the first place?Quite simply because there would be more overall cookie. Although admittedly it would be a freakin mess once broken up into a million pieces.

Nuh uhhh.. How is there more overall cookie if you start with equal cookie dough. ..and smashing with a hammer? Tsk tsk... Total cookie wastage.

Not food! ..and what if the cookie is the more yummy chewy kind. Then you just have a smashed mess.

@Amazing & Taffey, the 1st installment of your in-game logo sticker is completed. I had the obvious picture resolution issues with the LBP Camera when trying to take a pic of the entire logo, so was forced to just use the moon and headset portion. You can check it out in my lbp.me profile at this link ?? http://lbp.me/p/qr6ketv 40755

Let me know what you think. I will continue to see if I can get a decent pic of the entire logo...especially after having spent a good 16 hours on it, trying to get it to look as close as possible to your original. If anyone at Mm is listening...please allow us to have selective control over image resolution with our pics. I would gladly give up some thermo in return.

Nicely done and thanks!!

Great. Glad it works for you. Now, how do you want this shared? I am a member of LBPC, LBN and Planetarium, and can pub a sticker level and post a thread on all 3 sites and send everyone to a sticker level I'll make. Only problem I can see is anyone will be able to play and get the sticker...but that's not all bad, as it may get more visibilty in LBP Community levels. Any thoughts...?2012-07-06 20:27:00
