Just finished the level...well almost finished it, I think, and the level was very, very fun and cool. I

What I Liked About It

The story was very well done, and while it isn't anything incredible, it was a good excuse to take full advantage of the Paintinator. The level was designed incredibly well, with some neat-o lighting. It applied the Paintinator in some pretty clever ways, and I liked it a lot. I especially liked when you had to shoot the hinge on the trap-door thing. The way you designed the walls and stuff was good, it really helped separate the whole visual aspect of the level from other levels. It's the first real Paintball level I played which didn't obsess over the VR Training materials, which I am getting sick of fast, so kudos for you! Enemies go down pretty easily, which I liked. And the boss battle was pretty cool LOOKING too. The level really does set a great atmosphere. You really do feel like you're a sack soldier in some super high-tech war, which was great.

What I didn't Like

I have only one big complaint, which I'm saving for later. The level is phenomenal, and don't let any of these complaints stop anyone reading this from playing the level.
There weren't as many platforming elements as I would have liked. I know how hard it is to try making the Paintinator useful for platforming without ripping off MM, which you ALL know some jerk will complain about, but don't be afraid to if you can't come up with anything. Having some platform elements is better than having none at all.

My BIG complaint is the boss fight. It's hard, and I mean HARD! You're put sooo far away from the boss, separated by horrible gas, and all you have for cover is an elevator with space in between the wall and the floor, which the boss can shoot between and then comes your unavoidable death. I mean, if the creator here knows how to avoid it, then please tell me and I will gladly remove this from my post, I mean, your level is great!

I guess my one BIG problem is that I simply hate how aiming with the paintinator works. I mean, it's probably the best way TO aim in the game, but you never know for SURE where you're aiming. Maybe a little cross hair would be nice, or a little arch showing how your paintball will move in the air. That way I could actually hit stuff.

IN CONCLUSION

In conclusion, your level was great. FINALLY! A STORY that explains why we're using the Paintinator in the first place. Not one of those VR training levels.....bleh.

5 Stars and a Heart.

EDIT: I also realize that your boss must have taken a long time. If you were to actually go back and edit your level so that I could actually BEAT IT, don't delete the boss, I think the boss itself is great, but how the boss battle is set up is a little frustrating. Maybe you could make cover somewhere, and make it so that you're actually save from being blown up in the cover.

ha hey thanks 4 playing , i wasn't sure how much people would like it since my 1st level was a dud lol, but i tried a lot harder on this one visually especially, now for my boss, i made the checkpoint safe so u kno if u stand there no bullets can reach you, i will say that i didn't like how far away i put him, you have to super arc your shots, i'll see if i can make it easier ok, but thanks 4 the 5 stars man, i'll be checking yours out

edit:ok i fixed the boss, all his weapons can not get 2 u when you're in cover now, and he's closer which makes you not have to arc your shot that much

Just tried it, its a good little level youve got there, especially the boss

one problem with the boss though is the fact that while you have made a great enemy - you cant see him!

I spent most of the boss fight shooting blind hoping to hear the sound of me hitting a target - but its nothing drastic I suppose

I noticed a slight flaw at the start, you can walk BEHIND the elevator, i dont know if this is intentional or not really

But I enjoyed the level as a whole, nice design to it all - with nice clean materials

4 Stars and a <3 for you

If you wanna return the feedback you could always check my level here:

but you dont have to if you dont want to

I had the same problem, and the problem isn't that we can't see your boss, but rather, we can't really appreciate him from that distance. His weak spots are noticeable, but they are hard to hit from so far away. Or at least, that's what it was like for me

EDIT: I think changing the name was a good idea. Lol, when I first saw this topic I thought that it was a level about the Crusades or it was a remake of the Megadeth song.

Awesomemans obviously has a way with words I lack hehe

Its not that we cant see your boss, its that we cant see enough of him - It would be nice to see the machine rather than the leg your supposed to be shooting at

I'm sure its nothing a wide camera angle cant fix - and seriously thats the worst fault I can find with your level - its a work of art m8

Played your level earlier today & it was okay

Pros

I liked the way the lighting was set up, it was well thought out
The little enemies who try to shoot you were pretty cool
The layout of the level was pretty well done
Bos was very well made

Cons

Bit too many speech bubbles throughout.

Boss was near impossible to beat, I think he shoots a little too frequently & even when I was well in the elevator, he was still killing me. The boss looks great, but maybe a bit too hard.

Overall a fun level to play but would benifit from less speech bubbles & less difficult boss.
